Remarks

Positives: A healthy hassle free environment without any kind of ragging related issues. One of the safest colleges for Womens. Frequent placement drives from various of companies all over India. Leaves you with adequate knowledge about the subject with acceptable academics. Negatives: Not suitable if you want to enjoy the college life along with academics. Fee structure is not feasible for lower class people if appointed through management.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is good. Practical take place regularly, teachers are polite. And most important, they give nice internal marks. Paper pattern in 100+100 (Theory + practical). And exam take place in summer (june-july) and winter(nov-dec). So basically, even batch and odd batch system is there.

Placement Experience

4

If you get a government college for an internship, you will get a good stipend. But our college does not provide stipend. And speaking of campus interviews, they do not occur because dentistry is a profeesional course. you will get a decent government or private job depending upon grades. But most of the students consider opening their own clinic. And yes, army dental Corp is also a nice field after BDS.

College Events

4.5

Events like ganpathi, navratri, new years eve, shivjayanti and days are celebrated. Freshers party is our of my favorite event. In ganpati, dance and rally is done. In navratri garba, dandiya is celebrated. Shivjayanti is special. Skits, speeches, debates are done and of course "shivjallosh". And after shivjayanti, freshers party and days take place.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure for management students (direct admission) = 1, 00, 000 per annum (not feasible for low class families) For Counseling students (Merit) = 50, 000 per annum (feasible) The fee structure will be feasible for upper middle class and high class people but if you belong to a lower class family then you must have adequate cutoff Marks to get placed through counseling process.

Fees and Financial Aid

SCHOLARSHIPS are available for OBCs and minorities I guess. But recently some problems happened with my OBC batch mates regarding scholarship. But later on it got fixed up as they complained about it in MUHS

Campus Life

2.5

The Gender ratio will be almost 150:100 for boys and girls. The workshops conducted are very less in numbers and a cultural fest will be conducted every year. The Students are not selected or appointed into the college on religion basis. Lab sessions are quite frequent as atleast twice a week. The students who are studying under management quota are mostly well financed families and those studying through anna university Counseling are mostly from poor or middle class background.

Hostel Facilities

1.5

This point is about disappointment. Hostel is nasty. I don't know about girl's hostel but boys hostel is like hell. Uncleaned toilets, sticky passages, and bunch of such things. Plus you have to get in the hostel by 9pm. I mean seriously ? Which college have in time of 9 pm. I will advise you to take room outside campus. And the 4 bed accommodation is there. you have to share your room with 3 other guys.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are helpful but hou have to give them respect. Ragging is strictly prohibited. You have to wish your Seniors good morning and good night and call them as sir / madom. But once FRESHERS PARTY takes place, no need of wishing but still you have to give them respect.

Admission

I wanted to study B.Sc computer science in an reputed institution but unfortunately I didn't get the chance. So I decided to take up Civil engineering. Then I got admitted to this college through Anna university Counseling process.

Faculty

4.5

My college staff is quite qualified. Some of them might be rude but, after all they behave for our well sake. Almost all of them are post graduates in dentistry (MDS). But one problem is there, as is it in every college, they give us a hard time to take our submissions.

The curriculum as well the clinical and preclinical work really gives you good practive and exposure and great knowledge about the degree. The exams are divided into 4 exams per year that is a 1 sem exam followed by a 2 sem exam, prelims and a final university exam.

Course Curriculum Overview:

BDS is the only degree where you start with specialization. You have a limited part to deal with but has diverse clinical cases. One can easily set up a clinic after BDS unlike MBBS . The course also has the involvement of medical subjects for first two years. Each year has two internal exams , one prelims and then a final university exam
