Entrance Preview

After my 12th i wanted to pursue law as my career so i decided to give CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) & Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test (RULET). In CLAT I score 104 marks out of 200 and in RULET i was at 8th spot. I decided to join S.S. JAIN SUBODH LAW COLLEGE in Jaipur which is among the top law schools in Rajasthan.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The B.A. L.L.B. Course is an integrated 5 Year Course which is currently in very demand by big house corporates and law firms. So the curriculum is also decided accordingly. Our 5 Years are divided into 10 semesters comprising two semesters each year and each semesters contains 5 subjects. These subjects are decided in a manner which suits a students mental level and help him in getting out best of him which ultimately helps in building his career.

Internships Opportunities

In my college the internship committee is appointed which helps students in finding right internships according to their areas of interest and choice. Even students have choice to go for internships at their personal level also. In 1st semester i applied in a NGO called PUCL others can apply in likes of CUTS or Human Rights Commission.

Placement Experience

3.5

In our college already a placement cell is setup. Since mine is the 1st batch which has yet to pass out so its a little early to say about the opportunities we are about to encounter. But being in final year we are quite hopeful that Companies will come into our college to recruit us and there will be no vacuum of job opportunities. We have fingers crossed and we are looking forward to sit in the placements and then i will surely update my views on this question.

College Events

3

The best thing in our college is that time to time we get the moments to celebrate different event. Our college two times hosted a seminar on "Women Empowerment" which seeks participation of students and Professors from top law colleges of India which was a great success for our college. Here is the list of other celebrated events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The Fee-structure for every semester is Rs.33,000/- .So for 5 Years it amounts to a total of Rs.3,30,000/- which is quite economical as comparison to the facilities and infrastructure provided to us by college and it is also very economical in comparison to other law colleges .

Fees and Financial Aid

College does not offers any scholarship or loan facility but a student can avail scholarship facility of Indian Govt. for minorities. For eligibility they can check at www.momascholarship.gov.in. A different scholarship program is also carried on by Rajsthan Govt. for ST's and SC's.The education loan facility is provided by banks for which the students can go to respective banks to find out more details about it.

Campus Life

3.5

In my college people came from different religion, caste, area and economical backgrounds. But there is no environment of any gender bias or religion discrimination. Our campus life is totally filled with fun, knowledge and entertainment. The ratio of girls and boys is also equal and the campus environment is safe from the perspective of girls.

Hostel Facilities

3

The mess food is also insufficient in comparsion of students. But the quality is good and they get milk or tea in morning and proper two time meal with a high-tea in evening. The Hostel facility is only chargeable at Rs.5,000(approx.)

Faculty

4

The faculties are quite good and learned. They are approachable and it is quite easy for us to reach them for any problems we face whether it is related to studies or anything related to our personal queries. Basically some of the faculties are like mentors to us, they guide us like teachers and support us like friends. And most importantly they all are very learned and having a great level of intellect. The only issue we earlier faced that the faculties were not permanent but thanks to management that finally we have permanent faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Thr curriculum is designed in a way as a usual law college but the benefit of this college is that we have legal aid clinic , which the students have the opportunity to join. In curriculum we also have variety of electives till 4th yearof college. Which i think is good as students might get the opportunity to explore other subjects related to law and not related to law. The exams are held twice a semester and the difficulty level depends upon the faculty setting the question paper. Usually the difficulty level is of othe law universities. For improvement wise i dont have any suggestions

Placements from the campus for law students is not that good and honestly I don't think the student should rely on the campus placements instead they can participate in different events and improve their CV for getting a good job . The internships play a vital role in the career of a law students . Law students mainly focus on the judiciary exams and if not that then they can go for the corporate sector or litigation after that . Else they can also prepare for other exams such as UPSC or also go for higher education
