Course Curriculum Overview
Specifically the aspects of the curriculum that influenced my decision was the legal knowledge and the awareness of one's legal rights. The curriculum prepares us for the journey of being a lawyer or an legal practitioner in a way that one can do very well in any field they choose. If i were to suggest the areas for improvements in the course curriculum and teaching methods that would be to hire better qualified teachers and compulsive 75% attendance for the students. The exams are held every six months along with mid semester exams in between and the difficulty level is not much if you are serious about your studies.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is no tution fee increase policy as so. The complete cost of one's education here would be around 10 lakhs including your stay in jaipur along with the tution fee. There are no scholarships or financial aids provided by the college for the general and obc students but are only for ews. I have taken no campus employment being a student here myself.
Campus Life
There are no annual or technical festivals held here, so no point of discussion here. There are normal facilities in the classroom which includes a board and chairs and tabels with fans on top (no AC or Ducting). Once in a while a cricket match is held in the college named SPL. Also there are no clubs or students run social groups and the principal of the college doesn't care about the mental of educational growth of students here.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities include a prime location in the center of jaipur to which all the good places are nearby. The meals are not cooked well and the taste is gross sometimes. You get wifi, cooler and 2 fans in the room with the sharing of 4. The registration process is simple and is done on the website. If you want to rent a pg or flat you will have to take that minimum 3 to 4 kms from the college as there are no pg or rooms available for the rent.
Admission
Eligibility of the course is minimum 60% marks in your 12th boards along with a good spoken English because that would be necessary to understand law as all the books are written in English. You can find the application form, fees and dates on the college website itself. Exams of every semester are held every 6 months and the areas for improvement in the admission process would be a good compulsory exam and interview.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is 1 per 60 and it impacts our studies a lot. There is no compulsion of 75% attendance and that causes even less class strength. The faculty here is not much qualified and just joins to gain experience and move to a better college, their approach to the mentorship of students is nil. I often interact with teachers for the consultation for the assignments and the approachability is easier than one can think. You can find them sitting in the staffroom doing nothing.
Interview Experience
There was no group discussion round and the interview questions were simple, you just need to let them know that you have been studying in an English medium school from the very beginning or you are good in understanding and spoken English. I didn't not preparation as such as it was not required.
