Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

Our framework of the curriculum is similar to that of Mysore University and so is the exam schedule, we have internals and semesters. The syllabus is very standard it is not very complex for all the students, it is easily understandable.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placement record is good in this college, about 80-90 girls get placed every academic year, there are pool drives for placement and banking sector has started recruitment people more than ever. Companies like Infosys and Wipro come here for hiring, even internships are offered.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee is feasible even if not it can be paid in instalments or via student loans, both these provisions are there in the college. The fee for B.Sc is Rs. 20,000. This fee is very cheap when compared with other art colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Many government and private organization provide scholarships and loans to students even though the college does not directly provide scholarships to meritorious and underprivileged students, the scholarships programs are called Vidya Siri, Vidya Sarthi.

Campus Life

4.5

Events, where we could showcase our creativity like debate, speech, sketching, extempore, rangoli, are conducted in the cultural events and sports events like kabaddi, badminton and throw ball are also conducted in the college. This is a girls college, there is no discrimination among us.

Admission

I applied for this college by getting the application in person from the college, after my boards' results. You will be required to submit the application along with a demand draft of the application fee after submission within a week or two you will be called for counselling and course selection.

Faculty

4.5

Our faculties are highly knowledgeable, they are very punctual, they complete the syllabus on time and do not rush up last hour, they even help us in preparing for competitive exams. They are very good at guidance and a great support system.

The highest package has been around 7-8 LPA while the average has been around 3-4 LPA depending on the company and the profile of the student. Around 60-70% of eligible students secure placement each year

REVA University, Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Biotechnology)
Reviewed on Jul 4, 2025(Enrolled 2023)

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate it around 8/10 for relevance and comprehensiveness. I chose this course because it offered solid foundational subjects that aligned with my interests. The curriculum prepares students well for higher studies and provides decent exposure to lab techniques. However, for real world readiness, it could be improved. Teaching methods are mostly theory-heavy and would benefit from interactive approaches. Exams are moderately difficult and conceptual clarity and regular revision helps in scoring well.

Placement Experience:

First of all, there isn't a passed out batch yet(as of 2025). The first batch enrolled in 2023 and they are currently in internship period as they've planned. Placement will be offered at the end of 4th year. Although for internships, around 50+ companies visited and 96% of students got internships. The average stipend was 30,000 INR and the highest stipend was 200,000 INR (non-domestic). My plans after getting the degree are to gain some experience and go for a masters in business if possible.

Positive remarks: • The senior, junior, classmates are very helpful and cooperative. • The professors are also very helpful and concerned about our studies. Negative remarks: The authority is not so helpful. They take many steps against the students' sake and this is the main cause for decreasing the college's overall performance.
