Remarks

The college is spread over an area of 1185 hectares. It came into existence in 1972. Acharya devvrat is the current chancellor of the college. Dr. R k patel is the vice chancellor of the college. The college is approx 30 km from palanpur town.

Course Curriculum Overview

B.sc., M.sc., MBA courses are available. Agriculture, biochem, biotechnology, home science and nutrition, horticulture, microbiology, food safety and quality assurance, dairy and food technology. MBA in agro business is also available.

Placement Experience

Job opportunities are in the field of research, lecturership, banking ,finance, technology etc. The students get internships in fourth year by reputed agri related companies and they offer them a good stipend.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee per semester is about 10000 rupees and hostel and mess fee is about 1500 per month. Infrastructure of the college is very good. There is enough space for practicals. Hostel and mess facilities are good.

Campus Life

Various days like yoga day, teacher's day etc are celebrated every year. Debates and quizzes are held frequently. Sports activities are held every month. There is a well balanced gender ratio. There is also an anti ragging committee.

Admission

I had given entrance exam and got admission in this college through counselling process. The admission process is smooth. One must have biology as one of the subjects in intermediate to get admission.

Faculty

The faculty members are cooperative and helpful. They are well qualified in their respective fields. Counsellings and doubt sessions are held by them from time to time. They also help the students to get internships.

Placement Experience:

There are no or minir placement by university because nost of student don't want them because of low package or for pg studies. Banks are coming for students for agricultural loan officers. Other students are preparing for government exams like UPSC, GPSC, AO, NABARD GRADE A etc.

My reason to choose course, I love to study in horticulture. There is 60 students in our class. It is 4 year course, There are 3 exams taken per semester, total 8 semesters are there, it is not hard to pass out in exam.

Only last year Students eligible for apply placement only a few companies are visited the college like IDBI Bank IFFCO agrostar are visited the highest package offered by the company is 13 lakhs and the average package is around 3 to 3.5 lakhs around 20 to 25% of student are get a job from one campus placement due to more most of the student of study in pg my plan is the I start entrepreneurship as a fertilizer company

Reality of SDAU

I applied in AAU ( anad agriculture University) for B V sc course. Because vatenary have more scope than agriculture but having low score in gujcet I choose agriculture course and get admission in SDAU dantiwada .in our college get eligible in admission round there are 4 round to join college.no any additional exam are conducted for addmission.if you belong to farmer community you get 10 marks extra on your merit.cut off is very low for our college....Read More
