BDS at Government College of Dentistry

It is a well-structured curriculum designed by the government, it is a very complex course to study, so is any medicine-related course. We have our external exams once a year, both practical and theory.

Being a medical student has its own benefits, like owning your own profession by having a clinic and being your own boss. Students are welcomed to practice in the hospital owned by our college itself.

The fee is feasible when compared with other colleges (private). The fee for the first year is Rs. 1,14,000 and for the following four years it is Rs. 1 lakh, which makes a total of Rs. 5.14 Lakhs for the whole course.

Yes, the scholarship is provided by the college to students from economically backward classes and students with meritorious academic records. An education loan can be availed by the student if he/she could not afford the fee.

There are many extracurricular activities in this college apart from just the academical improvement, there are seminars based on the subjects by renowned members. Certain cultural events happen during the month of January. This is a ragging free campus, there is no discrimination of any sort against anyone.

I got BDS in this college through my NEET and boards score. NEET is a compulsory factor to get into this college and the minimum percentage to score in the boards is 50%. You will be shortlisted based on your marks and called for the admission.

The faculties are very supportive and well-trained professionals both in dentistry and teaching field. They can be approached regarding doubts any time, they are very helpful in that, during postings they guide you very well.
