Course Curriculum Overview
This college is affiliated to Savitribai Phule University of Pune, Pune. The course duration of B. Pharma is of 4 years. It is based on semester pattern. Examinations - Annual exams take place once in a year which are the most important of all the exams. Also, during every academic year three sessional exams (Internal evaluation system) are conducted for both theory and practical. The average marks of these sessional exams along with marks of annual exams contribute to final results.
Placement Experience
Ranbaxy, Cipla, Pfizer, Emcure, GSK, Cognizant, Bilcare, etc. are some of the companies where students got placements in the marketing and clinical research domain mostly. The placement part provided by college is not very fulfilling. But in my opinion if you have worked sincerely while in college getting a job by your own is not a matter of very much difficulty.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees of Bachelor of Pharmacy course as per Shikshan Shukla Samiti is Rs. 67500/-. This seems expensive to me as Return of Investment is very low because placement is not 100% guaranteed. Management too is not very fulfilling.
Campus Life
College don't pay that much attention when it comes to extra curricular activities. Some fests happen twice or thrice in a year. Life keeps switching between hectic days and chill days. Cultural activities don't happen very often.
Admission
To be eligible to get admission in the first year of B.Pharmacy, the candidate must have passed: 10+2 from Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with any one of the two subject combinations - 1. English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or 2. English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology securing minimum 45% marks (40% for backward class candidates) in the subjects mentioned above taken together and passed in the same seating.
Faculty
You will find a mix of personality in the faculty members of the college. Some are strict, some are lazy. The syllabus of lazy ones remain uncompleted till last day of exam. But all of them look towards studies sincerely. Faculty members follow different pace to reach at the end of syllabus.p They use different ways to provide knowledge to students and that difference makes studying with professor interesting.
