Mahesh Maral's Review On Gandharva Mahavidyalaya - [GVM], Pune

The course is for 1 year holding a full-time diploma degree introducing Raag, Taal and swar. The course aims at the knowledge of Indian classical music to learn some basic raags with written theoretical exam and practical tests.

The college does not provide any placements or internship opportunities but it trains the candidates to be confident and guides them to be skillful in every field. The course helps the students to be a music teacher, musician and can open their academy, where they can earn good.

The course fee is feasible and not at all expensive as compared to other institutions offering the same course. The grand total of my course fee was INR 15,000 including the other fees and can be afforded by middle class families too to follow their passion.

The institution offers many extracurricular activities apart from usual classes and events such as Dandiya, Bhondla etc. The college provides online learning through internet. It also organizes several well-known and respected musical concerts.

The admission process of this college is really simple. The first step is to fill the application form either online or offline. I filled the form offline and got admission in the college. The eligibility for this course is anybody who is above the age of seven.

The faculty of the institution is so professional that they are so deeply in touched with the raag, taal and swar. They can create their own songs too and helps the students in the same. They are very amiable and their classes are never boring.
