Remarks
I completed my M.Pharm Pharmaceutics from NCP, Shimoga. The college had a good number of quality facilities for students from labs to classrooms which impressed me alot. The teachers and my classmates were also quite nice. Overall my experience here was quite good.
Course Curriculum Overview
The syllabus is drafted by Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences as the college is affiliated to it. The course curriculum is quite good and covers all the most important of subjects and topics important for the course. The course is year based and exams are held at the end of each year. Sessional examinations are also conducted twice a year by the college to finalise the internal marks to be given.
Placement Experience
The placements and job opportunities are quite good and are available properly after the internship period to be completed after the course. As direct placement to jobs isn't available for pharmacy courses. Most of the students got placed at their respective internship firms.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The yearly fee for the college was around 90000 INR to be paid in instalments or as comfortable. The total fee wa around 1.8 lakhs INR which is a little expensive to be afforded, for which there are multiple scholarships available for meritorious and students from weaker sections of society.
Campus Life
The college has a good library which is open from 9.00 A.M to 6.00 P.M daily, having numerous books, reports and journals for students to research and study. The library also had good computers for study purposes. There are also decent, hygienic, well-equipped labs for drug-testing and other practices taught during the course which helped us improve our skills by testing and experimentation.
Hostel Facilities
There are hostel facilities for both boys and girls respectively. The hostels follow some strict rules and regulations applicable to students. The hostel rooms are quite good and well maintained. The hostel mess is also good and serves hygienic and healthy food.
Admission
The eligibility for taking admission in M.Pharm is having B.Pharm with at least 55% aggregate. I chose to pursue my M.Pharm Pharmaceutics here as I heard alot about this college alot and knew some of the alumni from here personally. There were a merit list and a small interview at college which I cleared and got admission here for my M.Pharm as there is very few number of seats for Postgraduate courses.
Faculty
The faculty of the college is quite good and professionals in their respective field of studies. The teachers always help and guide students whenever they face any problem in their career or being placed. That's what made me have a liking in our teachers here alot.
