Course Curriculum Overview

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Nursing is a four-year full-time program that is the undergraduate level in the nursing course offered by Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and approved by Indian Nursing Council (INC). The mode is full time and duration is four years and exams are semester based

Placements include- Madras Medical Mission,Vijaya Hospital, Apollo Hospital, Agarwal Eye Hospital, Global Hospital, Dr. Mehta's Hospital, Med City, New Delhi, MIOT Hospital,JSS Hospital,Dr.Cherryans Hospital. International placements include - Dalcam Health Care Group, Newzealand,City Hospital, Dubai, B&M care, United Kingdom,Heyyo Hospital, USA, Hammad Medical corporation, Qatar, Zayed Military Hospital, Abu Dhabi, Mediserve Nurse Agency, Australia.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since this is a private college and provides great placement opportunities, the fee structure is high. Approximately the fee structure might be near to 5lakhs. I cannot provide detailed figures as I am not allowed to do so. It's has been ordered by the college authority.

Campus Life

During the college hours students are given regular sports hour during which they are given the opportunity to play outdoor games. Library facility is provided and clinical training at the same time.

Alumni/Alumna

The college has a very active alumni association. All the old students are members of this association.Association is Led by a board of committee members, the mission of the Alumni Association is to support the college of Nursing and its alumni, and to further alumni involvement with the college and fellowship among alumni.Every year, the Alumni Association hosts Alumni Reunion and other events at the college of Nursing.

Admission

All the admissions are provisional and are subject to final; approval by The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R.Medical University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Admission is dependable on the percentage of 12th grade examination and the total intake for my course is 100 students.

Faculty

College of nursing has a progressive administration and team which is forward looking dedicated and open to ideas. The principal of PPG college of nursing is DR.P.Muthulakshmi Ph.D who is a well experienced senior most faculty of nursing. She has experienced in clinical and teaching area more than 35yrs. Academic responsibility of various programmes is shared by Professors, Readers, Lecturers, Clinical Instructors and Demonstrators.

My Nursing college

Likes

Like to study the subjects in a practical way as well as getting skillfull everyday
Liked the events and the participation of the students in every aspect of the event
Liked the way teachers behaving with the students in a friendly manner

Dislikes

The working hours in clinical area is way more high and not able to tolerate
The hostel rooms should be cleaned every week atleast
More restrictions for girls only and there is a partiality among the students in gender

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects are quite tough but can read and learn with a little bit more effort over those subjects and so the exam will be held for 3 hours continuously and the exam pattern in like semester type and so the course in more useful

Likes

Peace area for study which is inside a forest filled with nature
PhDs and doctors will be taking classes who were filled with experience and knowledge
The internship for one year will be given which will help to gain experience in field work

Dislikes

There is not enough space for having lunch (canteen)
During internship there is no stipend will be given

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspect that influenced my decision to chose this course is history of the hospital and faculties knowledge. The curriculum prepares me to work in any hospital of the world as a lab technician. Their teaching methods are always perfect so there is no need of improvements

Likes

I really liked the way of teaching is really go for us is really fantastic they provide Power point presentation,many lab rotation ,clinical rotation and we'll healthy surrounded infrastructure,and the gardening work were simply mind relax for us ...
I love clinical posting because here I gain more clinical knowledge which also helpful in my internals as well as university exam
I love this university because this faculty were provide very easy to attain exam

Dislikes

I hate lunch time in my college they provide only half and hour only
They does not provide break at the time of before noon
Lab facility is good but they won't allow all students to do that work

In this competitive world many students were failed in neet and then they get depressed iam also one of the student who belongs to that category I have Goodmarks in biology but even I can't score in neet unluckyly I missed that seat But I strongly wish that I would part of medical field so I choose this course I can rate this course 9/10 The reason behind 9/10 is because physician assistant always not equal to MBBS but syllabus includes almost MBBS so

Likes

Well equipped hospitals and research centers and many more faculties
The faculties provide more knowledge about theory as well as practicals
They provide placements and have many more opportunities to go to abroad countries

Dislikes

Sometimes it may have many work pressure and stress

Placement Experience:

The college carries more placements in their own hospitals and also provides many more placements. The average package is about 3 lakhs per annum and 7-8 lakhs per annum. The plan is to go to abroad countries

No negative comments about the college as the college provides a soothing atmosphere perfect for studying and learning along with highly skilled and professional teachers who work hard for the upliftment of their students.
