Remarks

To conclude I can say that the infrastructure and hostel facilities provided by the University are just great. However they need to work on the academic front as many teachers are not able to connect with the students in classes which makes classes boring. The library is classic but the labs are equally miserable. A lot has to be done in improvement of research and placement departments. Overall Amity is a good University with some drawbacks which can be ignored if you compare it with other government and private universities.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

Course curriculum is according to UGC and focus is on preparing students for industries and competition. Exams are fair and semester based. SGPA and and CGPA are shown after each semester and along with that you have to take summer internships and a semester of just research and application based work.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements cell takes special care that most of the students make it to the on campus placements. Students are asked for applications for campus placements. They are informed timely about upcoming placement schedules and given training sessions. There are professionals who train students and can help in getting good working opportunities like Google, Facebook, Microsoft, TCS, Infosys, Nerolac, ManKind, Ranbaxy, Godrej, Hero and many other MNC's.

College Events

4

Apart from fresher's party and annual cultural fest, every department has its own annual festivals, poster presentation, quiz, essay and debate competitions and many other festivals. These events are open for all the departments and even for students from from other colleges and universities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is a bit high for engineering, medical and management courses as compared to that for humanities, commerce and natural and applied sciences. For M.Sc. applied Chemistry it was around 20,000 rupees per semester and 15,000 one time security deposit which can be returned once you pass out. The breakdown of fee are given on the online portal and on the fee receipt.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

I did not opt for any scholarship or education loan. However there are scholarships available for students taking admission on the basis of marks in previous class. They also provide scholarship to the students on the basis of their performance in semester exams. Top rankers are provided with scholarship and prizes.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is a good 110 acre lush green with number of services and securities provided by the University. There is no discrimination on the basis of cast, creed, religion, gender, ethnicity, race or political or economic status. Hostel parties, indoor and outdoor sports activities, debate and quiz competition are arranged for hostel staff.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

As my home was not very far from the campus so I did not opt for the hostel facility. However some friends were staying at the hostel they said it was as affordable as a PG in gurugram. There are PG and rental services also available in the local area that provide accommodation and food at affordable rates.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students are quite helpful and cooperative as they help the younger ones with the notes, previous year question papers and books along with the information they share about faculty, administration and other commodities in the campus. Alumni network helps a lot in getting a good job opportunity and help getting better on work front withoutany hesitation.

Admission

The admission process includes a written test, Essay Writing and Personal Interview (for management courses GD is also one step). The questions in written test are based on your previous class and the test level is Average. Essay Writing can be given on any topic and it checks just your language proficiency and writing skills. Personal Interview includes questions from subject and your personal informations.

Faculty

3.5

Most of the faculty members are qualified and experienced in teaching and research area. They also hire some young teaching enthusiasts. Teachers are always open for the students with their doubts and help in getting good research and job opportunities.

Experiment part is not upto the mark The exam frequency is fast. But is not so difficult because everything comes inside the syllabus only.
