About my college- [LLIM], Mumbai

College management should provide their attention towards the quality of teaching staff. and also there should be collective and structured efforts from the placement department for better placements of the students.

The semester pattern is there. The first two semesters are the same for all students. The curriculum is not industry-specific it is way behind the industry. There are no placements-oriented courses. Yes, they organized IV or operations and hour students at CEAT Bhandup Mumbai.

Placements are below average. Placement cell needs to be put up and efforts.

Chakravyuh is the management festival of LLIM. There are many departmental events like operation hour marketing and finance are organized in Chkravuyh. Many business management schools took part in it. The festival takes place around October or November so it is the first festival among many management colleges so people participate more.

Fees are not expensive, but if you want to invest in your future it is okay to invest more money for quality education. Also, they provide government scholarships for minority students (Sikh) because this college is a minority-owned college. I would say as per ROI fees are less expensive. Also among its peer colleges fees are less.

I haven't applied for any scholarship. But my friends had applied for a minority scholarship from the government. They filled online through the government website and after few months they got 25000 scholarships in their accounts.

College life is excellent. You can enjoy it more in LLIM. There are events like chakravyuh and case study competion. You can participate in any event. The gender ratio is almost 60 40. 60 percents are girls and 40 percent boys. There is no discrimination among students. My batch was a full mix of all regions.

No, also college doest have that facility. The college doesn't provide any hostel facility. Some of my batch mates used to stay at rented flats in nearby areas like Lalbagh, lower parel. I don't know exactly the rent amount but 1 bhk flat for 3 people should rent for 5000 per person.

Seniors are helpful. The college organizes one alumni event Synergy. But in this college should arrange seminars and sessions on providing industry leaders (alumni) and students so that they can guide emerging managers on what practical skill set is required in near future.

I wanted to do MBA in operations management after having experience in engineering exposure. So I decided to gave MH CET exam in Feb 2017 and I scored 92 percentile. Because of the general category, I got admission to this college. Also, this college does have institutes level seats like management quaota seats for which individual need to ask the college staff after cet result.

Faculty are average. The operations department only has two teachers and they cover 8 subjects. In the first year, there is no specialization all students have the same subjects. The staff here in the LLIM doesn't focus on providing industry-specific material except for the hour department. They are more concerned about completing the syllabus.
