my experience with my College

positive:- some faculties are good at teaching. good playground. negative:- no job opportunities. no involvement of project guide in final year project. no travel trip are done by mechanical department.

course structure is mostly theoretical and not based on any current research. some optional subjects are already fixed and student can not change it. labs from College are not good equipped.some machinery are too old.

There are no placement and job opportunities for mechanical department in our College. students have to find companies on their own after the completion of graduation. sometimes only 1 or 2 companies came with anual package of 2 lakh.

small scale events are done within College,and sometimes they invite other Colleges to participate in our College events. cultural events and festivals are done only as some ritual and not for celebration and enjoyment.

engineering courses are expensive 87500 per year for non category students and for category students they are from 500 to 45000. sometimes their are strict rules for fees payment like if you have not paid full fees they are not going to allow you to exam or they are not giving your final results.

There are certain loans i have heard which my friend take with regards his annual fee. and for the scholarship by government their are scholarship for students whose annual income is less than 8 lakh and for the backward class students.

sports events are conducted annually for both girls and boys equally. their is no descrimination regarding gender,race,religion etc. but thier is no great support by faculty or encouragement by College for extra curricular activities.

their is still no interaction with any seniors or their is no experience with my seniors. but their are some alumni meetup every year where they invite all alumni,and where successful alumni tell their experiences.

addmission process is done with merit by savitribai phule university with 3 rounds. where after each round you should take admission or go for further round. you can select upto 100 Colleges from three districts i.e. pune,nashik,ahmednagar

some faculty are good and interested in teaching particular course,but mostly faculty are interested in completing course as much as quick before final exams. practicals are conducted only for completion purpose and not for knowledge.
