Average rated College

Overall, it is an average college. There are more of positive sides than negative one. But one has to put own efforts to succeed academically. There are few lame rules in regards to dress code, apart from that things are good.

Course curriculum was maintained by Anna university, which was followed by whole Tamil Nadu engineering collegs. So curriculum is so good. Exams are also conducted by Anna university. Out of 100 marks , 20 is from internal and 80 is from final exam conducted by Anna university

My college won't provide internship but they does conduct placement drives. Atleast more than half of the eligible candidates will get placed on these drives. But placement drives are not better when compared with competitor colleges.

Every department will celebrate one day technical symposium based on the budget allocated. College will conduct college day, in which whole college can participate in the cultural events being conducted.

Since fee structure is also maintained by Anna university , it is feasible. For first graduate from family , Anna university will give 50% concession on fee. College will collect extra 20000 than than prescriped fee. During 2017: Fees prescriped by Anna university : 45000 INR Extra fee collected by college : 20000

There are four kind of scholarship. 1. First graduate concessions : If you are the first graduate from your family , you will get 50% concession in fee. 2. Caste based scholarship : If you are from a suppressed caste, government of TN will provide a scholarship amount for your education. 3. Sports scholarship: If you have achieved in sports , college will give full fee concession. 4. Founder scholarship: If you are from a poor family background, founder will provide a free seat. But the sole decision is taken by founder.

College will conduct programs every week to promote Tamil. Interested students can participate on them. Every year, internal sports meet will take place. And interested students can participate on them. Labs are not well equipped. Most of the equipments are old. But for projects , with proper permission, we can use the SRM university laboratory

College connects with alumni using the email. Periodically they will conduct alumni meets. But most alumi won't be attending them. So it is nearly impossible to be in touch with seniors or faculties through the alumni network.

I have applied for Anna university counselling and choose this college on my counselling day. College provides fee seats in management quota , but for that one may have to pay lump-sum as donation to the college management

All faculties are not highly talented, but there are some really talented faculties. If we are willing to learn , we can use them wisely and learn a lot. Not all faculties are highly qualified too. As I have mentioned earlier , there are some faculties with high qualification.
