Remarks

The college management is easily one of the best around.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is standard supported by prescribing the latest textbooks for reference. Teaching methods are flexible and intuitive involving smart classrooms. The curriculum is groomed to provide industry-specific knowledge to students and it helps a lot to secure on-campus placements. Numerous industrial visits were organised for students during my years of study and they were very useful and helps in exposing the students to the production environment.

Placement Experience

4

Companies that visited the campus in my course include Sundaram Clayton, TCS, BorgWarner, RANE steering systems, Ashok Leyland, Ford, SL-Lumax, most of the companies conduct Preliminary Tests from which they will select the final candidates for the interview based on their performance in the test. The institution provides special camps and training to prepare students for placements. Every year an average of around 70% of students in my course are placed.

College Events

4.5

There are plenty of events celebrated in an institution such as Diwali, Pongal, Onam, Ramzan, Sports Day, College Day etc. Symposiums are also conducted like ingenious by ASME and Krida Yanthrik for showing the importance of engineering in sports. The college also conducts special events every year like Hostel Day, Debate competitions etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for my program was 90,000 per year excluding hostel fee. There are no additional charges that are needed to be paid to secure admission in college. The college provides a scholarship for specially disabled students and also for students admitted under sports quota and another reserved quota.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college provides a scholarship. For the students who are under reserved quota, Sports quota and disabled students as well. Average scholarship sum was 6500.

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is big with separate buildings for all departments. The college also has workshops, labs, sports equipment, Badminton stadium, swimming pool, library and basketball arena. The campus has a gender ratio of almost one female for every male, everyone is given equal importance.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is strong, they conducted alumni meet every year on the campus which is filled with fun events and rejoicing the memories.

Admission

This institution is one of the best in colleges affiliated by Anna University. Apart from having fantastic infrastructure, it possesses a range of world-class clubs such as SAE, ASME etc for students to educate outside their academics. It continuously breaks barriers and set new benchmarks in various fields such as breaking into the Final round of BAJA 2018. The admission process involves verification of your school education. The number of cut-off marks you obtain in school will determine the field of study offered.

Faculty

4

The faculty consists of around 50-70 teaching staff and lab technicians with an average age of around 33. Almost everyone is well qualified with masters in their respective fields with some completing PhD as well. The faculty provide high clarity in subjects as they have plenty of experience in teaching as well as working in the respective fields. There are faculty who expertise in certain fields as Welding, Hydraulics, Thermodynamics, Automotive and they apply such knowledge for the benefit of the students.
