Remarks

The college is one of the most reputed in our city. Its products more often than not do well in life and are good citizens. It has improved its image a lot(there were a few cases of drug trafficking earlier, but now have been sorted) and I hope they continue to do so. They are very strict about timings(gates close at 9:45), which induces planning, organising, discipline and punctuality. They conduct morning prayer - A great way to start the day. However, they need to work on the suggestions given by the students. Also, they need to work on their teaching style so as to attract students to the class instead of imposing attendance criterion. Also, they need to work on the placements and approach companies which require people with course- specific skills.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The course curriculum is average- it is extensively theory based. It uses concepts from intermediate /PUC, but the faculty refuses to revise those concepts and that makes understanding of the concepts tough. Due to this, half of the class fails every semester. So rote is the last and only resort in that situation. They donot teach application of what is being taught, and students end up in jobs apart from the stream of actual education. The curriculum is small but they make huge hue and cry about it. They fail to make classes interesting or interactive, so they impose 75% attendance. I tried thinking of something good about the curriculum or college, but could only be happy about the fact that I will be released from its claws two years later with a degree.

Placement Experience

3

There is a Career Guidance and Placement Cell(CGPC) in our college and some of the best companies like Amazon and Wipro come for campus recruitment. But as I mentioned earlier, they fail to ensure placements based on stream Choosen, i. e., all the jobs a sales and marketing related. During induction, they invite alumnI who are scientists, researchers, etc to create an impression that their CGPC has done a great job and have helped them become what they are and achieve what the have, but reality is far from truth.

College Events

3

The college conducts many fests and events every year. Some of them are: 1. Bhavanotsav (multI discipline fest). 2. Antha prerna (entrepreneurial fest). 3. Primicerius (business and management related fest), etc.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Keeping in mind the infrastructure, equipments(both sports and educational), faculty, and other facilities, the fees is more than feasible. It is quite cheap. The buildings are good, the sports are is also good. So it is value for money.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college doesn't provide any separate scholarship. However, they abide to state government- sponsored scholarships for the reserved categories like ST, SC, OBC. There is no loan facility as of my knowledge.

Campus Life

3.5

Labs are a routine activity. However some labs, like physics and mathematics, are monotonous, but others, like Computer science, are interesting and application- based. Gender ratio is mostly equal. There is not much ragging, bullying or any kind of discrimination happening in the college. Infact seniors are mostly helpful. Sports scenario is fine. However, there is no encouragement from the college or faculties to sports or players. More often than not students are discouraged from participating in sports, and such students at the end of semester go around faculty begging for attendance.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are generally helpful. They help us with studies or any extracurriculars as well. But some of them are irritating - losers with hell lot of attitude, always trying to make life tough. Most of the alumnI are leading a mediocre life, but some are good - doing great in their respective fields.

Admission

The application is quite simple. We are asked to pay a registration, fill few forms, attach 10th and 12th marks memo and passing certificate xerox. The merit list is prepared based on 1. Statewise segregation. 2. 12th marks. Then a counselling happens, where courses are alloted based on preference and criteria fulfilled.

Faculty

3

Faculty is good. They are moderately qualified and interested. But they fail to make the classes or topics interesting. They more often than not just read out matter from a prepared material or textbook without simplifying it for us. The All teachers including English faculty constantly make grammatical errors while conversing, which gives an impression that what will they teach if they themselves don't know basics. However, they are good humans and always motivate to become a better person morally.

Odd sems are kinda better will have time for enough preparation and even sems have less time just for 3months. And papers are good enough and will gain better knowledge. College curriculum and teaching methods are too good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This curriculum completely deals with forest related aspects and forest management influenced me alot in choosing this course Well curriculum sadly doesn't prepare us for real world because there applying this subject everywhere is not possible and further pursuit can only be done if the candidate choose only civils or icar for pg entrance There are few suggestions from my side to improve the course curriculum and teaching methods Curriculum should focus not only on courses but also mental health, personality development, campus placement. Exams are very frequent which is unnecessary
