My College Review

My master's journey at the IBS was not what I expected, but it was a good endeavor, nevertheless. The college has a good placement record from which I benefitted. Teaching is also good. ICFAI is definitely a good choice for masters at a reasonable price in the Tamil Nadu region.

Our curriculum enriched with the industry exposure and practical applications of our theoretical learning. The course touched all the concepts related to the basic managerial discipline, finance, operations, HR, etc. We learned a lot from our esteemed faculty and their guidance helped us in becoming corporate ready.

Our college has an in-house corporate training team, which focuses on preparing the students of the final year for the interview process. HDFC, ICICI, Zydus, Amul, and Coca-Cola, etc. are some of the top recruiters from our college. The corporate cell assisted us at each step during the placement process. Some of my friends secured an annual package of 7 LPA, though the average packages students secured were around 4 LPA at the time of my batch.

Campus life is nice in IBS College. The juice center is the main center of attraction. Library, auditorium, seminar halls, all are digitized. We also had a parlor inside the campus. A lot of events are organized in our college like our grand fest named Scintilla. Many events such as Rack brains, financial quiz, marketing quiz, HR quiz, and others are also organized here.

My first-year fee for the MBA program was around 4 lac, which is equivalent to other colleges. In total, I paid 8 lakhs for my two-year program. Apart from that, there are no other hidden charges. The college also offers a scholarship program for poor students.

There are many clubs and associations in the college like the management Club, finance club, Rotaract club, English literature club, women’s forum, and more. Many workshops and seminars are organized by different departments for enhancing the learning experience and spreading awareness among the students.

I stayed at the hostel during my course duration. The hostel buildings are good. They have installed solar panels for electricity generation. The hostel fee is less than 50K per year, which is pretty cheap in comparison to PG accommodation.

Admission to the PGPM program is on the basis of the counseling process. Students with a valid entrance exam scores can apply for the counseling process. The counseling process basically includes a GDPI round and on the basis of these factors a final merit list is prepared and students are granted admission. My marks were not good in the entrance exam, that’s why I had to wait for the third counseling process.
