Remarks

College was in Jhalawar which was cold part of Rajasthan, location was very good. As far as college is concerned, faculty was cooperative but senior deptt was unresponsive as we had issues with our labs. Our hod always gave us excuses for 4 yrs, No resolution was done.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our course was B. tech which is a 4 year professional degree program. I was in Mechanical Engineering branch. Course consists of 8 semesters and each semester had 6 subjects and some practical subjects. Total marks for each semester was 1000 and min pass marks for each theory paper was 24 and total 40 including intermal marks. Total couse marks was 8000. Course was very easy and there was only 3 theory lectures and 2 practicals classes per days. Aprox 5 hrs per day. I enjoyed hostel life also. As per my opinion, Course was very chilling.

Placement Experience

1

Training and placement deptt was there at that time but No company visited. Only indian army interviews were conducted, less than 1% students were placed in 2016. But now they have tied up with NIT, madras. Now campus placements have also started.

College Events

3.5

Only one event was Organised every year was SANSKRITIKA. It was basically annual function. Every year top performers of every course and branch was awarded with medals and certificates. Several dance and music programmes were organised. Every year 3 days or 4 day fuction was organised.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure was diffrent According to course and Category wise scholarship was there B. tech Programme fee was 60, 000 per year for General category 11000 per year for TFWS tution fee waiver TFWS were merit list students according to their ranks and categories. There were diffrent scholarships also for SC, ST & OBC students from Rajasthan Social welfare scheme. College was not expensive at all.

Fees and Financial Aid

I took an education loan Form SBI at that time. The approval process was long, it took 4 months approx. Intrest rate was 13. 20% at that time. No collateral was reqd as i took loan for 2. 4 lac. Cheque was issed every month from bank and Both CI and SI was applied. As per my suggestion, never take loan as it is costly.

Campus Life

2.5

Our college was full of extra curricular activities. Our class strength was 60 out of which 53 were boys and 7 were girls, 80% of students were from reserved category. There were 4 deptt labs i. e. Electrical, Mechanical workshop, Civil engg lab, Electronics deptt. Labs were Just ok which means there were few instrumwnts for practicals and all the data was copied by us form our Senior's practical files. Environment was good and joyful.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniours were our gods at that time as our faculty had no knowledge at all, we used to go to our seniors for any doubts, previous years questions, projects, practicals. They always motivated us in our high time. Alumni was also cooperative.

Admission

I got selected through RPET counselling at that time which was based on AIEEE (All India engineering entrance exam) exam which is JEE (Joint entrance exam) now. On the basis of Rank I got in AIEEE which was 1. 30. 000 approx, Actually this college was in too much rural area of Rajasthan and I was from Haryana.

Faculty

2

At my time Most of the faculty was unexperienced. They were just B. tech passouts. You can say our seniors. Only our HOD and one more faculty was permanent at that time. In first year, all the faculty was M. tech and Ph. D, they were mostly HOD, s of their departments. Later on from 2nd year, Most of the faculty was unexperienced. But they were cooperative as they helped us in our internal exams.

Placement Experience:

Placements in my collage are not very strong. A few companies visit, but the number is limited and the offer are also not very high . The average package is on the lower side and only a small number of students get placed through the campus. After completing my degree my plans is to continue improving my technical skills and apply for jobs outside the campus where the chances and salary packages are better.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In the year 2014 & 2015, there was a huge scope for people in Computer Science Engineering. There were unlimted number of possibilities for a B.tech graduate at that time. This is why, I chose B.tech Computer Science course. The curriculum will help you to deal with the exams. If you are giving graduate level exams, you will be well guided for it by the faculty. There are no smart classes or good practicals examiner which we call lab technicians which causes everyone a havoc in the labs area. The midterms are the first monthly based exams that you'll need to give in order to pass your academics. After that, Practicals and then written exams.

IIIT Kota was initially running at the MNIT Jaipur which is under top 10 nits. IIIT Kota's placements faced a drastic decrement in placement percentage from 92% in 2021 to 74% in 2024, because the campus had shifted to kota in 2021. In 2023-2024 the number of offers was 140 and eligible students were 162, the higest package was of 65 lakh and avg was 13.09. Companies such as yamaha, jio, oyo, infosys, microsoft, samsung sds, amazon capegimini etc visits. Student not only dependent on on- campus, but should also be in touch of off-campanies, and in good approach with their senior. I will frequently keep applying for job interviews.
