About my college (Godavari institution of engineering and research)

My college's environment is really very good and it is very close to the nature. The infrastructure is good. A lot of courses are provided. And some rare courses like (mining engineering, automobile engineering) that are not available for other colleges are available in our college. Over I'll rate my college a 2. 75 out of 5.

Course curriculum is good with the subjects that are included. There will be two semesters for every academic year,Every semester contains 2 mid exams, The over all SGPA is given based on the Internals(40 marks)+Externals(60 marks). This is how the curriculum is designed.

They don't provide us any internships. Placements are good somehow. No internships so no stipends. Placements are from the small companies. A very few companies comes to our college for the sake of placements.

When coming to celebrations my college will stand in the first place. They celebrate technical hub with the name of MEDHA on occasion of every engineers day sep 15. And MYTHRI a cultural fest for every two years.

It's very expensive for open category students(60,000) and feasible for minorities. They force us to pay the total fee in the beginning of the academic year. incase if we don't pay they will make us to pau fines of about 1000-3000 rupees. The worst thing is they will not allow us to attend the semester exams if we don't clear the fee dues.

I don't know about the loan facilities offered by my college. But they will give good scholarship by reducing the fees. 50% of the fees will be paid by the government in the name of fee reimburesement.

For every semester we have a minimum of 2 labs. They will conduct a sports meet every year. Those who are good at sports will get a chance to play for the zonal competitions which is provided by the college. Extra curricular activities like UFI, NCC, NSS will be there to participate.

Once if we passd out from the college there will be no connection with the college anymore. No words from the seniors that will be helpful because they don't bring the alumnies. The alumni network of our is very aweful.

By getting a rank in entrance exam(EAMCET) which is conducted by my state ANDHRA PRADESH. With the rank i've got I participated in counselling and selected the group(Electronics and communication engineering) I'm interested in. Thus, my seat was alotted.

Only 10 % of the faculty are good and the remaining they don't even have the qualities to become a teacher. They don't use live examples to teach. They only teach from the text books. None of them are fluent in English. I don't like listening thier classes because they fail to make the subject interesting.
