Remarks

The college could be good one of they tried a bit hard for improving the structure of education and changing the structure of course. I feel bachelor of engineering is an outdated course and should be revised.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

The curriculum in BE is not that good or advanced it seems good from outside but the course has loopholes. The exam pattern was pretty bad as it was rather based on length of your answer instead of the concepts you learnt

Placement Experience

1.5

Placements were fine for electrical and CS branches but when it came to mechanical they had almost negligible placements with very poor package overall. The placement officer was not so concerned about other branches it seemed

College Events

1.5

Techkriti was a technical event other then that garba, diwali party and few other fests were celebrated. In addition to that singing dancing competition were also there. In case of sports kabbadi and football had there presence.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was feasible it was pretty less actually. For BE mechanical it was pretty low even when compared to other colleges in my city. It was around 22000 per semester and around 45000 with all other additional charges for a year.

Fees and Financial Aid

One tfw quota was provided in our college that quota was based on the rank you got in jee if it was good enough you can get admission in tution fee waiver quota in which you'll be charged the minimum amount possible

Campus Life

2.5

In sports and extra curricular activities the participation was almost equal for both boys and girls there was equal opportunities for girls to participate although in cultural events girls ratio seemed to dominate and similarly in sports the ratio of boys participants was more.

Alumni/Alumna

Senior or alumni network is almost negligible the seniors were ignorant and had little to no role after the freshers party. You can't just feel there presence. They were just there during the events stating there status as seniors and not at all helpful.

Admission

Had intrest in science over other commerce based fields and engineering seemed a good choice for pursuing what i wanted to achieve. Science and technology always drew my interest as i wamted to know what's new in the world

Faculty

2.5

They were fine as they had to teach us what was in the course. The curriculum was the fault itself. Some teachers were pretty good others were fine and few were just not upto the mark all over they were fine

Placement Experience:

Placements at Chitkara University are decent for CSE AI ML. Students are allowed to sit for campus drive from about 7th sem. Many tech and service firms visit like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Capgemini, and some product firms too. Offer count is good for CSE branch each year. Avg package is near 4 to 6 LPA for most roles, and top package can go much higher for select students in dev and AI roles. Around 70 to 80 percent students get some offer if they meet skill and marks rules. The place cell gives test prep, mock talk, and resume help. After my degree, my plan is to get a dev or AI role first, then grow skills and later move to a higher tech role or MS study.

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester (3rd year) onwards, and internships often start from the same time. The placement season runs in the final year with companies visiting from October to March. Big companies like Amazon, Adobe, Deloitte, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, IBM, Microsoft and Oracle come for drives, and many smaller firms also hire. Highest packages reported recently are up to ?1.11 crore (mainly from Amazon), and average packages across engineering are around ?8–10 lakh per annum. Placement percentage is pretty high (80–95%) if a student actively participates and prepares well. Many students get placed on Day 1 itself during drives. Most offers are in software development, IT, data roles, consulting and product teams. Top companies also give super dream offers (10 LPA+) to a good chunk of students. In short: campus placements are strong for CSE/AI-ML if I prepare well. The support from the placement cell helps with training and interview prep, but final results still depend largely on my skills.
