Review of my MBA course from SVIM

Our syllabus is prescribed by the institute itself and it was regularly updated. My specialization was financial management, which we studied in great detail. We also had the opportunity to gather information, and practice it during the internship period. The 2 months internship was a compulsory part of our curriculum. Our entire course spanned over 2 years and it was bifurcated into four semesters.

Our college promotes sports and pushes students towards taking part in extra-curricular activities. Our college has a pretty awesome infrastructure and sports facilities. Our annual management fest which was three days long and included different activities and inter-house competitions.

I paid only INR 74k lacs for one year and around 1.5 lacs for the entire course. Which was not expensive at all, especially when you compare it with other management colleges. The placements were equivalent to what they charge. Overall, the expenses were very pocket-friendly.

Scholarships are available for the meritorious students only. Students excelling in academics are eligible for availing the scholarship offered by the university. Apart from that, the students from a minor category are also eligible for scholarship and fee concession, as per norms prescribed by the state government.

The admission process is pretty smooth. They do consider AICTE approved entrance exam scores like CAT/XAT/MAT for evaluating the applicants, but the cut-offs are pretty low for the college like around 70 %ile. The entire administration was very much friendly during the admission process. The only problem which I faced was locating the college since the college is in such a secluded place.

The faculty was pretty talented and flexible. They all had the relevant amount of experience. To top it off with their unique style of teaching. Most of the teaching was case study-oriented, which helped us get a better picture of the theoretical things. The plethora of experience each faculty shared with us was impeccable, which helped in shaping our career and introducing the necessary professionalism in us.
