My SRMS Review

SRMS Business School is one of the best private institutes in southern India for a PGDM. I am in the final semester of my PGDM program and I have positive reviews about the college. My experience was good in terms of academics and overall campus life. Infrastructure and the Faculty was the highlight of the time I spent here.

The course structure is developed very well with a proper review of the syllabus done periodically and updated to keep abreast of the latest requirements of the industry and academia. Most of the curriculum is centered around financial sector management. It was a great learning experience. It also makes a person equipped for future challenges and nuances of the corporate world lying ahead.

The placement is good at my college. The average package for our college is around INR 4 LPA, with the highest package going as high as 12 LPA. Companies like Zaro, Superhouse, ITC, HUL, RSPL, Outlook, etc. frequently visit our college.

Management club, finance club, and many other clubs operate in the college and organize a number of activities to engage students in all sorts of business-related practices. Various people from different fields interact with the students giving their insights regarding various aspects of life. Every event organized is a learning experience. It can make a student improve her self confidence and courage. Many sporting events including the sports day is celebrated in our college. Cultural dances are also performed periodically, in order to maintain a balance between academics and cultural learning.

Our fee structure was pretty nominal and flexible. In total, I paid around INR 5.1 lacs. The fee was nominal, but I expected more facilities from them. So far it is going good. Since no other institute gives you an in-depth perspective regarding the financial sector, I was happy to pay the hefty fee. Our college helped us with the loan facility as well.

I took admission to the PGDM program at SRMS International Business School on the basis of the CMAT Scores. I was called for the counseling round, which was a lengthy business. The essay writing test was easy, which was followed by a discussion round. Then a panel of three people took my Interview. After that, I got admission to the college.

Our department was best in terms of incorporating teaching with practical knowledge. All faculty members had a plethora of corporate experience which they shared with us. It helped us in getting an insight into the corporate culture in advance. They all were very accommodating as well.
