Biography of G.Ashwitha

I have positive and negative remarks about my college. My college has a very good faculty and good lab facilities. We even have a library which helps us a lot in studying. Negative remarks are we don't have fests and many events in my college.

It is an interesting course, at the same time, it is bit difficult. We have three main subjects i.e, Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science. In addition, I have English as my first language, Hindi as my second language n EVS. The exam structure is sem wise(6 sems) in 3 years, 2 sems each year.

There are many placements and job opportunities in my college. In the final year, we even have campus recruitment training so that we do not loose the job opportunity. I do not know whether my college provides internship as I'm in second year only.

We have annual day celebrations at the end of the year. In this celebrations, all the prizes for the subject toppers, overall toppers for each sem and for all the winners and runners up of all the competitions will be given. We even have freshers and farewell celebrations in our college.

Each year, we have to pay 35,000 Rs. at a time or installment wise before the practical examinations finish. It is feasible only compared to other colleges. Most of them can pay the fee amount as it is less when compared to other colleges.

We do not have any kind of scholarships or loan facilities in my college. They have informed us during college admissions that we won't be given any scholarships or loan facilities as it is a co-operative college.

We have sports competitions in which many students participate and show their talents.Lab facilities are very good; we have 3 labs in which we have air conditioners. We even have NCC. They practise daily and all the NCC Cadets march during Independence Day and Republic day.

I have not opted for Hostel as my house is close by to the college. I can catch the bus and go to college from my home within half an hour. I go to college daily from my home only. But few friends of mine stay in hostel as their house are far away. They say that their hostel infrastructure and facilities are not so good and not so bad. It is okay.

We will have alumni meet every year. Our seniors are very good and helpful. They help us in their best possible ways as they have experience. They tell us about the course details, how to study, the question paper pattern and about the placements division.

Because of more than 90% marks secured in 12th and applying for admissions as soon as it started. After filling the application form, they gave the date on which the selected students names would be displayed on the notice board. On the scheduled date, I went to college and my name was displayed on the notice board, so I went and submitted the required documents and they gave me 1 week time to pay the college fees. After 5 days, I went to pay the fees and hence got admitted in the college.

My faculty is very good at explaining us all the topics in their best possible way. They give us important questions so that we can secure good percentage. They keep remedial tests thrice in a week so that we finish studying soon and they keep grand test for all the students after every unit's revision gets completed.
