Remarks
I did my B.Ed. from Eram Girls Degree College. It is a minority institution managed by Eram Educational Society, and i like how the college is progressing as from just B.Sc. PCM, it now offers B.Sc. in 7-8 streams. Overall infrastructure and most of the faculty is good, while education quality can be improved further.
Course Curriculum Overview
In the first year of B.Ed. there are 4-5 subjects, with one optional paper to choose out of the given choices of subjects, followed by a practical. While final year is more of field-work oriented. As the college is affiliated to Lucknow University, it strictly follows its syllabus and guidelines.
Campus Life
Being an all-girl college, extra-curricular activities are hosted from time to time, and the sports equipment and facilities are pretty good, including the college ground which is pretty big. Labs are also well-equipped with systems best suited for related applications of practical subjects.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel environment and infrastructure of the college is amazing but some facilities need a little bit of attention, like bathrooms and food, else they're fine too. The rooms are also quite airy and comfortable.
Alumni/Alumna
The Alumni network of college is quite good compared to the number of od courses offered. Sometimes senior students do visit the college for providing guidance when they are called by the concerned faculty for giving a seminar and to motivate the students.
Admission
The admission into Eram is completely interview based. I filled the application online from the college website itself, after that i received a call from college, of being shortlisted and was called for the interview on respective date. After the interview, my documents were cross verified before forwarding me for admission process for eligibility criteria.
Faculty
Faculty of the college is pretty formal in everything, from academics to extracurricular activities. The faculty is also very supportive and asks us to reach out to them in their free time for our queries and problems. They also provide good guidance and give us a better understanding of anything we ask about.
