College Events

There are various events which are celebrated with great pomp and show. Durga puja is one of them since the college is in Kolkata. Other events like holi, diwali, freshers day, farewell day are also celebrated. Various workshops and talks by fampus dentists round the world also keep happening.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is a box expensive considering that it's a private college. The fees for: 1st year: 2,25,000 + 15,000 admission fees 2nd year: 2,50,000 + 15,000 admission fees 3rd year: 3,00,000 + 15,000 admission fees

Hostel Facilities

The institute provides in campus hostel facility to its students. Separate hostels with 120 rooms exist for boys and girls. The hostel is equipped with essential amenities like filtered drinking water , common room with television , telephone and gymnasium. The hostel, being in-campus has 24*7 security for the boarders. Strict in and out timings are maintained to discourage late night travel among students. Parents are encouraged to meet hostel warden frequently to discuss issues with there wards stay.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors are quite friendly, helpful and cooperative. They are always there to help the juniors in every aspect. Ragging doesn't happen much in the college as the seniors are very down to earth and friendly.

Admission

For MDS Course of studies: Candidate should have passed BDS from Govt. India / DCI recognized College & University Candidate should have permanent registration from Dental Council of India/State Council. Mere fulfilling eligibility criteria does not guarantee admission. Admission will be solely based on the merit in NEET as per preference given in the application.

Faculty

The teaching staff is excellent with alot of experience. The students are also asked regularily about there feedback on teachers and teaching methodology. A FEEDBACK FORM is collected quarterly from students in each subject , which is a blinded assessment of permeation of knowledge among students , done by the head of each department. The postgraduate students of our institute are sent to rotary posting across various other centres of excellence in the country for better training in special surgical / dental skill , eg cleft lip and palate training , maxillofacial prosthesis traning , laser dentistry.

I applied to a number of colleges and finally got a seat in guru Nanak dental college. A very reputed college not only in West Bengal but all over India. I didn't avail of any quota facility while entering the college as I belong to the general category. Those who want to apply in the counseling process for getting entry into this college must qualify neet xam and should be 17 years of age or above. It's been almost 10 months I am in this college. The campus is very big with 3 playgrounds. It also has other courses like engineering, pharmacy, and hotel management. It's under the JIS group. It has a canteen facility and also a gym. Basketball court for the entertainment. Well planted trees, grass, and flowers. It has hostels for far-away students. Food quality is also good. Xerox room for additional help. The campus is clean and tidy. The academic building has 5 floors and separate practical labs. Hospital is separate for the heavy patient load. A beautiful pool to add beauty.
