Remarks

The best place to find many people with different mentalities and great place to learn. The library here is largest architecture library in india. The only negative is you should learn everything on your own. Classes doesn't happen very rarely. The faculty teaches you in the class but no one pays attention. But if you approach them in person, they'll tell you amazingly.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Architecture is a best course when compared to another courses. It is a course where art and science break even. Architecture is not only about learning from books. It's a learning from people, experience, surroundings. Architecture is not only about buildings. it is an experience of space. It is an experience of living. The exam pattern in JNAFAU ( short form of the name of the University) is very feasible. Like it have semester exams twice a year. No other exams are conducted in between. The students who gets failed in exams can re register or can apply for supplementary.

Placement Experience

3

Unfortunately the placement cell in the University doesn't work properly. The firms which come to college to hire students are not so big firms. And even students doesn't opt to go to that firms. Students should find internship on their own, with the help of seniors or their own contacts. The experience which we gain in internship is more than the theoretical knowledge which we gain in college. Usually most firms offer ?5000 for interns. and some give 8-12k.

College Events

3

The college is having an annual fest which usually last for 45days. And many events like NASA (an Architecture college fest throughout India). And many festival celebrations in a traditional way, which are part of Telangana culture.

Fee Structure And Facilities

As for architecture, the fee structure is divided into two categories based on the ranks people get during entrance. Students are divided into 2 sections (A&B). A section seats are alloted by government. And B section seats are extra seats which college took special permission from government. A section have ~?16000 and B section have ~40000 fees

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarship is not available for everyone. Only few eligible candidates get it. As it a government University, the backward classes like SC, ST, BC are eligible for scholarship. I'm BC-E but I'm not eligible for scholarship because my father is a government employee. OC students get scholarship if their parent have less annual income. The scholarships usually takes time to get approved as the government delays it.

Campus Life

3

One of the amazing thing about this university is extracurricular activities. There's a sports room which offers indoor games like carrom, billiards, table tennis, chess. There's small ground where students play volleyball, cricket whenever they want. There are no restrictions for playing until the college is closed in evening. Only a computer lab is good. Remaining labs, i dont know if they exist in our college. I haven't seen them.

Alumni/Alumna

The most important part in this university are senior students. they help alot in learning. Their experiences teaches many things. They taught us how to make portfolios, their references in offices helped me to get internship easily

Admission

One should qualify respective Entrance exam of architecture (NATA or JEE main-II). University announces a date for counseling where the candidates should bring the required documents and education certificates and their score card in the entrance exam. After the verification of all the documents. Each candidate is alloted one rank by the University based on their scorecard. Then the candidate should opt colleges under the University to get a seat in them.

Faculty

3.5

The senior Faculty in JNAFAU are having an experience of 30years in architecture. The way they explain classes are more interesting. While coming to junior faculty, most of them doesn't come to classes. But A few of them are having enormous knowledge. And they teach very well just like senior Faculty.
