My College days at RIT

The college management is good and there is well-disciplined staff to help students in each and every possible manner. Overall this is one of the best colleges in Western Maharashtra.

The course curriculum is industry-oriented and primarily focuses on the overall development of the candidate. In RIT Choice-based curriculum is implemented from 2018. More focus is on industry internships and sponsored projects. So as per my opinion, it is a relevant and research-driven curriculum. The exam structure is also good. It primarily is semester based and each semester has two In Sem exams and one end semester exam.

RIT training and placement cell are very much active. A specialized training and placement officer is appointed by the college. He takes care of placement, Industrial internship in the college.

Every year in the RIT Department of Civil Engineering organizes Vaastu a national level technical event for UG as well as PG students. The college organizes expert lectures, short training programs under the banner of ISTE. College is also the Institute of Engineers' active chapter. Through this chapter, the college conducts a national level technical paper symposium.

FEE structure consists of tuition fees, development fees, and other exam fees. Total fees for AY 2018-19 was 1,28,000. Also, a merit-based scholarship is provided for bright students. Gate qualified students are eligible to receive MHRD fellowship. The first-year fee includes Library charges, Slonkit charges, etc.

I received a merit-based scholarship for my program. My tuition fees were reduced by 30 percent. Also, the student may opt for an education loan from any Government bank.

College campus is amazing with a lot of greenery around the main campus. The college has one of the best libraries. There isn't any discrimination between boys and girls. There is a special cell called VISHAKHA and the anti-ragging committee maintains good discipline in RIT.

RIT Alumni association is registered under District Charitable trust Sangli. They conduct Alumni to meet every year. Also, senior-junior interaction is very good. Most of the seniors are helpful.

I got admission from the Central admission process conducted by DTE Mumbai. This is a centralized process and is governed by DTE regulations. The minimum criteria for getting admission is a Positive GATE score. The admissions usually begin in July and the final process is over by august.

All the faculties are well qualified and highly experienced. The faculties have both teachings as well as industrial experience. The best part being each faculty is helpful and supportive to everyone who has any doubt regarding any of the aspects whether in Curriculum or in any aspect of the course.
