College review

Postive : It has good teaching staff and helping nature staff. It is actively involved in events. Surrounding nature of college is pretty good. Coordination with teachers is very well developing. Alumni network is pretty well built. Negative : Infrastructure is very bad. No electricity supply in-class rooms. No availability of canteens. Transportation facilities is little far from college.

The subjects for BCOM were non-selective. This college taught the given fixed subjects. Exams were conducted semester wise. Internal exams were conducted by the college itself. Internal exams were divided into 2 parts. Main semester exam was conducted by the Rani Channama University.

Since it was Under graduate College, there was no placements and job opportunities. This college taught only. BCOM and BA courses. Internship was also not available in this college because of only availablity of BCOM and BA courses which doesn't require internship.

Many events were celebrated in this colleges from sport's to national and traditional. In this college both national and state events were celebrated eg. Independence day, Karnataka Jayanti etc., Sports events were conducted in this college which included cricket, kabbadi etc.

The fee structure was feasible. The overall yearly total expenses were 4500-5000 rupees. The total fees is divided into admission+tution+exams fees. The exam fees were paid before each semester exams.

The government of Karnataka state has offered yearly scholarships every year. This scholarship has to be filled online by students and then submitted to college for further college verification. I have availed scholarship for every year. I received 5000 rupees every year. The college also provided loan facility powered by government but I haven't availed it.

There was only computer labs. But practicals weren't conducted by the teachers. The college sponsored cricket every year. Every year students participate in cricket. Some of them get selected in district level and play further.

No, I haven't opted for hostel. The college also doesn't have any hostel facilities. Those who were from different locations have stayed in rented house. Some of them including me have travelled from different cities to reach college.

Senior students were really helpful during academic year. They helped in many college events. Senior also helps in carrying out strikes. They are supporting and encouraging. They helped us by providing information about syllabus and exams and many other college activists.

After completing 12th I applied for caste-income based merit list. I selected 4 colleges in that i got selected in this government college. Fees was accordingly to the caste. But unfortunately 2B caste was categorised in General list. Hence fees was more it.

The college had few experienced teachers and few practicing teacher. Some teachers conducted tuitions after College Hours. Some subjects were taught by same teacher. Sometimes the syllabus used to be incompleted. Clerk staff was very bad.
