Remarks
The college rarely organised any event. Even the sports day, was a one-week business, while no emphasis is given to the sports activities for the entire year
Course Curriculum Overview
To be honest, the course curriculum was somewhat outdated. All of the academic departments are quite lazy and delay all sorts of necessary updates required for the course to be on par with the national standards. Which is necessary, especially for the students pursuing a medical course, Additionally, there is no time management or structure, which should be followed while conducting the exam. The exam dates and result announcement are postponed many times before the final consummation. In this age of digital learning, even teaching is not digital.
Placement Experience
On-campus placement is quite ordinary in RUHS. Some little-known companies visit the campus for the placement drive. But that’s the extent of it. If you are taking admission to the RUHS, be prepared to look for a job on your own.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The fee for one year of my B. Pharma course was around 84,500 INR. Which is not that bad. But when you evaluate it with the kind of facilities provided by the university, it’s a loot. From academic to extra-curricular activities there is nothing which justifies this tuition fee. In short the university is good for students from a high economical background but not that good for students belonging from a middle-class family.
Campus Life
The campus was not lively, to summarize it in short. Amidst poor management, there was a political vibe on the campus. “Reference” holds more weightage than the actual qualification. Activities and events happening on the university premises were organised by the students themselves
Alumni/Alumna
Most of our seniors went on to try for the govt. Jobs or tried to find a job on their own. So they were of little help in terms of placement. But during the exam season, seniors were quite helpful, with their valuable insights and the notes. In many cases, these notes would be the sole medium while preparing for the exam.
Admission
I applied online for my Bachelor of Pharmacy program. Basic eligibility was class 12 exams with Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects. I was shortlisted in the second merit list, after which I went to the university for document verification.
Faculty
Many faculty members are politically influenced. So the attention is paid more on political activities and less on the actual teaching. The rest of the faculty members are satisfied with their jobs and never actually feel like working, just like a typical Indian government employee.
