Can I apply to Symbiosis Institutes after the SNAP result declaration?

PP
Priyanka Pandey Posted On : August 14th, 2024
Student at SIMC Pune

The SNAP 2024 result will be declared on January 8, 2025. Most of the Symbiosis Institutes do not keep their application forms open till the day of SNAP result declaration.

SIBM Pune, SCMHRD, and a few others close their application forms prior to the exam date. Most of the remaining colleges keep their application forms open till some days after the exam, but they close it before the declaration of results.

There may be some colleges that keep their application forms open till, or even after the SNAP result declaration, but this is not true for top Symbiosis Institutes.

Make sure to regularly check on the various Symbiosis Institutes’ websites, and keep a track of the closing dates of their application forms.

How can I improve my chances of getting into a top Symbiosis institute?

You can improve your chances of getting into a top Symbiosis institute by performing well in the SNAP 2024 exam, and in the Group Exercise and Personal Interaction (GE-PI) round. The cutoff for SNAP 2024 is not yet released.

I have listed below the expected cutoff percentile of SNAP 2024 for the top 5 Symbiosis Institutes:

Name of institute

Expected SNAP Cut Off 2024 (Percentile)

SCMHRD, Pune

97

SIBM, Pune

98

SIBM, Bangalore

90

SIIB, Pune

93

SICSR, Pune

82

Here are some tips to study for SNAP 2024, in order to score a high percentile:

  • Understand the Exam Pattern: SNAP has three sections, namely, Verbal Aptitude & Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation, and Analytical & Logical Reasoning. Make yourself familiar with the questions asked and the marking scheme. For this, use previous years’ papers.

  • Strategize a good Study Plan: Give more time to the sections which you find yourself weak in. Study for short spans, but be very consistent in your study time. Don’t spend all your day in just one section, allocate time to every part so that you do not become overwhelmed by studying the same things.

  • Take Mock Tests Regularly: By practising mock tests you’ll become habitual to the exam pattern, and your time-management skills will also improve.

  • Regular Revisions: Revisions are a great way to brush up on your learnings and to avoid stress once the exam date is near.

  • Stay up-to-date on Current Affairs: Current Affairs aren’t an important part of SNAP, but staying up-to-date on recent developments may help you answer comprehension passages in the Verbal Aptitude section.

  • Practice Time Management: Try to solve practice papers within the stipulated exam time for SNAP. When you sit for the SNAP exam, do not waste a lot of time on a question you don’t know the answer to, instead, come back to such questions once you finish the rest of your exam.

With hardwork and consistency, you’ll surely score a high percentile in SNAP and get admission into a top Symbiosis Institute for your MBA degree.

The SNAP exam is held in 3 different slots each year. Applicants may take the exam a maximum of three times within the three scheduled exam sessions. The final percentile calculation will take into account the attempt in which the candidate performs the best overall. The SNAP 2024 will be held in CBT mode in three different sessions on December 8, 15 and 21, 2024.

AS

Yes, merit scholarships are available for students admitted through SNAP. These freeships (0 tuition fee) are available to MBA students at all the institutions under SIU.

There are two kinds of such scholarships, and the eligibility criteria for these are-

  • A merit scholarship is awarded to students who clear the SNAP exam and join a Symbiosis Institute. The top 0.1% of SNAP candidates are eligible for this scholarship.
  • For students with 3 GPA in their respective semester, a merit scholarship is awarded in the next semester. The students with zero backlog till the time they are awarded this scholarship, are the only ones eligible for it.

Eligible students will receive these merit scholarships, irrespective of their financial background.
