My course and the placements are mostly government-related. We go to forensic science laboratories (FSLs) which are all over India for jobs. We can be recruited as scientific officers or scientific assistants etc. In Kerala, I have to give the PSC examination for recruitment.
The faculty to student ratio is 1:20. The faculties are pretty approachable even on WhatsApp, it's pretty easy to ask them anything. The best faculty is Dr. Shubham Pandey, helped me alot in my research paper. All the faculties are pretty good. There is not one faculty I don't like. In a semester there are 6 subjects, the course is pretty hectic to manage along with the internships. There is a good chunk that fails but is allowed to re appear for compartment exams.
There are no such festivals, the only festival organised in the university is during Navratri in Sept-October. There is a sports week in April and in the Law School we have Integration week in April-May and Foundation week in September. There are a lot of books considering there 12 different schools operating on campus, from microbiology to law to python, there is everything in the library and the library infrastructure is top notch. The classroom has first world Country infrastructure, we have projectors, screens, mics, podiums and aesthetics of the classroom is great. There is no such core committees of University. The law school has Moot Court Committee, Sports and Cultural committee, Internship Assistance Cell, Literary and Debating Society, Music Club and Pro Bono and Legal Aid Cell. These societies are relatively fun and provide a lot of exposure to the students especially the SACC.
It is a 2-share room with an attached bathroom. There is a bunk bed and 2 study tables. The maids clean the room daily and the bathroom twice a week. The meal quality is okay and it is vegetarian but you can order from outside. Only the first-year students will be provided with a hostel room. For an a/c and non a/c room, there is a different fee amount. While I was staying in the hostel it was 75,000/semester for an a/c room and 56,000/semester for non a/c room. The locality provides a lot of PG and flats for students and they are affordable. The locality in which I stay is safe as it is a gated society.
