In conclusion, both KNIT Sultanpur and IET Lucknow have their advantages and disadvantages, and it's up to you to decide which one suits your preferences better.
Enough has been said about how enviable the rankings of IET Lucknow are. The atmosphere of IET Lucknow is just as good as the atmosphere of the IITs and the NITs.
The quality of education that is offered by IET Lucknow is better than other renowned institutes like HBTI. A lot of the students have ended up getting employed in government jobs such as railways, PSUs, power sector. They have qualified for their GATE exams with a good rank.
The main advantage of IET is its location (400-500 km from Delhi/Noida and a more functional airport) and coaching exposure for GATE, CAT, and other competitive exams. Teaching is essentially the same. MMMUT's facilities are far superior to those of IET. However, if you want to study CS/EC, choose IET (This is not to dismiss MMM's CS or EC; somewhat, MMM lacks exposure, which is essential for someone studying EC/CS).
The MMM is slightly less expensive than the IET Lucknow. They have an excellent library that may supply you with a free supply of relevant books. IET's library is worse than that of private colleges in UP. MMM has a much larger and more organized alumni base than the IET.
The MMM campus is large and lush with greenery. You'd have plenty of opportunities to "discuss" something with your classmates. Furthermore, the faculty at MMM is relatively progressive. Of course, this does not mean they will approve of anything, but they will generally tolerate certain things within limits. The faculty at IET is mostly upper caste and thus extremely regressive. They believe that it is the student's fault that they have not succeeded in their own lives.
One of my friends is a recent alumni of the institute. According to him it is a really good institute. Let me share his experience which might help you get to know the college better.

You can choose enrolling at IET Lucknow since it is better than most other other institutes located in vicinity of it. Since IET Lucknow is also affordable, the general pressure of loans usually gets off the shoulders of students.
Of course, if you look at the faculty, placements, and atmosphere, it is very similar to NITs.
In terms of a student competition, due to the 50% state quota in all NITs, many students with very low scores get into NITs, but in a state like UP, it is extremely difficult to get into NIT even after the state quota due to massive competition. Furthermore, students who take admission in IET have a very good rank in UPSEEE; they are those students who have a decent rank even in JEE Mains but do not go to NITs due to branch issues, so students here are also good. The most important aspect is that you will receive excellent preparation for future studies such as GATE and CAT. This is not available in many NITs because they are located in cities with no coaching institutes.
The hostels in the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Lucknow are decent and provide a comfortable stay for the students. Here are some key features of the hostels:
Overall, the hostels in IET Lucknow are a good choice for students looking for an affordable and comfortable accommodation option during their academic years.
The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) Lucknow admits students to its undergraduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), and Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) through the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE).
The cutoff for admission to these programs through UPSEE varies each year and depends on several factors, including the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, and the availability of seats in each program.
However, based on the previous year's trends, to get admission to IET Lucknow, you would need to score a rank under 1000 (approximately) in the UPSEE exam for CSE, IT, and ECE programs.
It's important to note that the cutoff score for each program offered at IET Lucknow is different, and you will need to check the official website of the institute for the specific cutoff score for the program you are interested in.
Additionally, meeting the cutoff score is only one of the eligibility criteria for admission to IET Lucknow. The institute considers other factors such as the candidate's academic performance, the number of applicants for a program, and the reservation policies, among others, for final admission decisions.
After my cousin visited both IET Lucknow and HBTI Kanpur, he experienced certain things which I am going to share with you. Here is what he says,
So these are some of the things you might want to consider before choosing the institute. As it will decide your career ahead.
