Most opportunities are with companies like Infosys and Wipro. Many students aim for IITs and IIMs, preparing for exams like GATE and CAT, while others with more resources might go for GRE. Despite the downsides, if you're motivated and ready to work hard, you can make good use of the free time, the central library, and the LAN facilities in some departments.
