Infrastructure is wonderful but more improvements required
Yeah I engaged with many people and its is worth full
Each and every faculty are we’ll know and help full

Dislikes

Some infrastructure are not well maintained
Few people from college who are from villages are not engaged with everyone
Some faculty are not well supportive and well known

I applied for RMK engineering college and i got conformed in that college but that college is very much strict compared to this college hence I choosed this college I didn't got any rejection from any college I applied

Beyond the classes: My College Experience

I like my college's environment. It's full of trees and the atmosphere around there surreal me. Personally I feel I'm studying amidst nature and I like spending my time with nature.So the best thing about my college is its "ENVIRONMENT".
From the first day of my college till now, another best thing happened was the people whom I met. There is no ragging between seniors and juniors. Seniors are super friendly. They will help us clarify our doubts.
One of the key things which I liked , they give prior importance to placements. Obviously one of the main objectives of going to college is to get placed.The placement department is doing better at training students for the placements.

Dislikes

One of the things which I disliked was poor teaching of faculties. Some teach very well. But some are completely the worst. Their way of articulation is very poor. They just present some ppts and they will read it and end the class.
Faculties should have the deeper knowledge of the subject. They should be able to give the answers even for the tricky questions which students may ask. The college syllabus doesn't seem relevant to today's industrial field and technologies.
The infrastructure is not quite good. Buses are terrible . Similarly the infrastructure of the hostel and the food provided in hostel are worse. Amenities like washroom are okay. Classrooms should be fitted with AC's

Admission:

I got this college through Conselling quota based on Merit.I've had put some colleges before placing this college . They were College of Enginnering Guindy, MIT(Madras Institute of Technology) and then SSN (Shiv Nadar University). I couldn't get into these colleges since my cutoff was comparatively low than what was required to get into this college.Then I had my college in the option list and the seat got alllocated . Other than counselling and management,our college doesnt conduct any entrance exams like VIT or SSN. I placed this college because it had a good record of placements and the campus looked good and the academics they were also nice.

College environment is so peaceful whole campus
It is not strict like other colleges so students friendly
Staffs are so friendly they are more like a friend

Dislikes

No of events they are conducting are very less compared to other colleges
Culturals are not good and the canteen foods are so bad

I chose this college over other because of the academic performance and department which i wanted however college location is a bit far compared to other colleges which i got admission to so based on the high cutoffs required in other colleges i have no other choice than joining this college even though i got admission letter for few private instituitions i didnt want to join a private college since the culture isn't that good compared to the autonomous colleges my dream college is SSNCE which i got only EEE

Likes

The infrastructure, environment and the exposure provided by the college
Active clubs and events along with regular and competitive hackathons..which create a sense of competition between students
Good placement rate and excellent alumini network along with good reach in foreign institute for higher studies

Dislikes

Could increase the number of seats in courses like cse ece and aids
Some strict rules could be made flexible and time table is too hectic..there could be some free period
Transport fees can be reduced and the buses should be regularly have proper maintenance

Previously I applied for ssn college I didn't get seat because of doing worse in my interview and then snu university..I didn't attend the interview then I applied for cit kundrathur which I didn't get..later through tnea counselling I got svce which is one of in Chennai Both dote and management seats are available. Elegibility is ur class 12 board exam results Cutoff range is different for each course which goes upto 197 for branches like cse aids and ece

Comparatively Svce is better , not too strict.
Greenery campus and maintenance............
Friendly staffs.....dress code is also fine

Dislikes

Food quality is bit compromised ,hostel students find it very difficult
Hostel students find it difficult because non veg is not allowed
Other than food everything is fine and chill

Admission:

First was anna university,mit and ssn after that svce was the next option in my list . You need to have above 190 cut off for getting into cse department through counseling (dote) , there is no exam and interview process

Likes

Teaching is Good in my college. Most of the professors have hands on exposure to every experimental methods based on their field of teaching
Decent Dress code been Implemented. The college had strict dress code, But Fairly it was exercised last year, Allowing T shirts and jeans with some restricted allowance
Placements are decent with more than 80% students who opted for placement get placed

Dislikes

Staffs hesitate in providing lecture notes and ppts. They only provide the lecture notes at the neck of the moment Only for reference and will ask us to study from books (This will be primarily deployed from 2nd year)
The Procedure of getting OD form in some departments is a major hectic process and demands a lot of time and energy from us
Lack of proper communication between staffs and management

Admission:

I choose this college because of it's constant top 10 ranking among anna University affiliated engineering colleges for a long time This college is also less strict compares to other colleges and placements are good

Likes

Attendance is not strictly maintained so we can easily do interns
Important questions will be given before examination so it won't be that tough to study
There will be lot of club activities so you can have great exposure

Dislikes

College Canteen is very poor and you won't get good food
College is in the out skirts of the city amd hence it takes a long time to travel
Bus fees is high but the quality of the buses are very low.

Admission:

For eligibility it is in the top 5 engineering college in Tamilnadu, so the closing rank for CS department will be around 7000 for BC and General and for SC and ST it will high, when I joined for AI they asked 191.5 cutoff minimum.

A 4- Year Rollecoaster!

The Atmosphere around college and they way campus was maintained: neatly and with decorum.
The Staff are particularly very helpful in solving your doubts and guiding you to the right path on how go about solving a problem or leading a project.
The rules are very strictly maintained which leaves no room for misbehavior or ragging which makes our college campus trouble-free.

Dislikes

The canteen food could be drastically improved and served in line with the wishes of many who eat there regularly.
Some of the buildings are really old and you wonder if they maintain these halls and rooms anymore.
The distance from the city is comparatively very long and it becomes difficult for people to commute over long distances

Admission:

I joined this college through management quota so i had to pay a lump sum as donation. Application form can be obtained through coming to college and paying the basic fee. There is a certain cutoff every year for all the courses if you wish to join through the government quota.

The freedom got by the students compared to other colleges in Chennai is extraordinary.
This college provides importance to the sports .
