What is your review of St Andrews Institute of Technology and Management Gurugram?

I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Botany at St Andrews, and I find it to be a good college for my studies. The faculty is knowledgeable and supportive, which helps in understanding complex topics. The annual fests and extracurricular activities keep things lively, and the library resources are decent. However, I feel there should be stricter monitoring of attendance to ensure that students are focusing on their studies. Overall, it's a good environment for learning and personal growth.

St. Andrews Institute of Technology and Management is quite disappointing. They don't offer good job placements or opportunities. There's a lack of extracurricular activities, and the fresher's party was not enjoyable at all. The college is located quite far from Delhi NCR, which makes it inconvenient.

The campus life is dull, with nothing much happening. The canteen isn't great either. The atmosphere feels more like school, and the student crowd isn't impressive. In summary, there's no focus on placements, jobs, events, farewells, or convocations. Overall, it's not a good experience.

I wouldn't recommend St Andrews Institute of Technology and Management in Gurugram for pursuing a B.Tech. There are private colleges like SRM, VIT, UPES, and KIIT Bhubaneswar that offer better options. Honestly, this is the first time I've come across its name.

If you're unable to secure a spot in a reputable government or private college, it might be worthwhile to consider taking a year off to prepare for exams like JEE or BITSAT.

Students
The students here aren't very diligent. After nearly a year, first-year students barely know more than 20% of C programming, mostly just loops. And it's not just the newcomers; even the upperclassmen struggle with coding. There really isn't a strong coding environment here, so if you're passionate about coding, this might not be the place for you. This is specifically about BTech and BCA students.

Faculty
The faculty is quite supportive, including the Chairman, Mr. Rohit Rana. Overall, while the college is fine, the students are lacking.

If any faculty member reads this, please consider encouraging a stronger coding culture. Students who are into coding can definitely succeed, but without improvement, the college risks becoming just another average private institution. You might make money, but respect is important too.
