What is your review of Thiagarajar School of Management Madurai?

It's got a strong background, though not widely recognized. Definitely one of the top schools in the southern region.

Thiagarajar School of Management, located in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, is a well-regarded business school in India. It has achieved impressive rankings: 15th in all of India, 4th in South India, and 2nd in Tamil Nadu, according to the Ministry of Human Resource Development's 2016 rankings. The school provides PGDM and MBA programs that are recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in New Delhi. Additionally, it has been granted autonomous status by the UGC and Madurai Kamaraj University.

I'm currently pursuing my PGDM at TSM and am in my first year. In my view, Thiagarajar School of Management is among the top and oldest business schools in South India. It's well-known in the southern region and also has some recognition in the north. The program is a two-year residential course, providing great exposure that everyone should experience in their lifetime.

The hostel food at TSM is much healthier and more hygienic compared to other colleges. We enjoy a diverse culture here, with students from various states coming together to strive towards our goals. TSM celebrates almost all festivals like Diwali, Onam, Dussehra, and Pongal with great enthusiasm, making students feel at home.

The school not only focuses on theoretical studies but also emphasizes a lot of practical learning. There are many clubs such as Chandai for marketing, Kaizen for operations, Navras for drama, Zero Gravity for dance, and Symphony for singing. Overall, you'll gain significant exposure here.

My experience at Thiagarajar College, where I'm doing my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, has been quite positive. The faculty is well-qualified, and they really help us prepare for the job market. Internships are a highlight here, with companies like TCS and Zoho offering good opportunities. The placement scenario is also impressive, with many students getting placed in reputed MNCs.

While the campus life could use more events, the academic support makes up for it. I feel like I'm gaining a lot of practical skills that will help in my career.

I’m currently studying Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Thiagarajar College, and it's been a mixed bag. The curriculum covers essential areas, but I think it could be more engaging. Internships are facilitated well, and I've heard of students landing good placements with companies like Accenture and TCS.

The fees for my course are around INR 25,000 per semester, which is manageable, but the overall campus vibe feels a bit underwhelming with not many cultural activities. Still, my focus is on getting a good job after graduation, and I think this college can help with that.
