Here's some info about Loyola College in Chennai that's quite intriguing. The coursework is pretty straightforward, so unless you're really struggling, you should be fine. Professors don't usually give out assignments or quizzes because they're super busy.

If you're representing Loyola in inter-college competitions, don't expect to get any support like OD from the college management. Even if you win, they won't pay much attention. This lack of support means many students, like talented dancers I know, don't bother participating.

Most of the classes aren't very useful, and you might not find them relevant in life. If you chose French or Hindi in your first year, you'll still have to learn Tamil. Science students have to study English and Tamil/French for four semesters, which seems unnecessary.

No matter how much you achieve, you might not get recognized. Teachers seem more interested in their paychecks than in students and tend to waste a lot of time.

In your second year, there's a mandatory outreach program for every student. If you don't have enough attendance, you'll need to complete it in your final year to get your degree. Basically, you visit a slum, walk around, and chat for a couple of hours, though you don't really learn anything. Even if the weather is bad, you still have to attend.

The canteen and Xerox shop have slow service, and the staff can be rude, which is annoying.

Overall, these are some interesting things about Loyola. It's often considered overrated.
