How are the professors in NIFT Hyderabad?

The facilties are amazing in my department. Two of them being alumnis are great for the students because they truly connect with us. Total of 10 faculties, who are all amazing and very well knowledgable. Most with 2 or more phds and some acquiring even more. Totally chill with the students but strict about assignment quality. They help during internships when needed and provide opportunities when asked as well. Mentors are provided to a set of students divided among the faculties and we are free to talk whenever we want to regarding anything. The staffs also are very close with the students. They help the students in need during juries and assignment submissions. Dr. Rammohan is very well reputed and gives opportunities to write papers in outside campus competitions. Dr. Anant Phani gives internship opportunities, if we are behind him. Dr. Srivani is very careful about students being alert and vigilant regarding their course and work period. Juries are often very stressful before our time comes. Exams when studies are really easy to get good marks in. Teachers very well give pointers regarding exam syllabus beforehand.

Faculty to student ratio is also less. They don't have sufficient number of professors according to the subjects they are offering. Exams are not conducted in the campus rather we have jury where we have to show our projects to the jury panel.

The faculties are so helpful and understandable We have a different kind of syllabus where we study more about fashion. We have no written exams to evaluate We need to make our project and present it on jury time and the faculties will evaluate and get the marks . If we did the project innovative and beautiful surely we'll get the marks.

In knitwear department the faculty to student ratio is 1:5. The faculty is pretty approachable and we have mentor sessions every week to discuss our problems with faculty. For exams we have jury, no one really fails in jury but if you have low attendance then you might have to give the jury again after 2 months.

The student to faculty ratio is 4:1 which makes it very easy for the student to get connected with the faculty and clear all their doubts. The faculties are shrewd with their subjects and have adequate amount of industrial experience. They have great industrial contacts and are very friendly with all the students which makes it easier for the students to approach them. They have always offered me valuable advice regarding my career and are also very supportive.
