Which is better, taking EI in SGSITS or E&TC in IET-DAVV?
Some of the facts are listed below to help you understand which one is better in taking admission.
- SGSITS has its brand name. No one even knows about the institute about IET-DAVV; generally, the students who are staying outside of Madhya Pradesh.
- There are not enough differences in the syllabus of these two institutes. And for this reason, you have to study yourself to perform better.
- If you want to pursue higher studies, then seats are limited in the good colleges for instrumentation. For this reason, the candidate number is also less. Thus, you have a preference to alter your stream for higher studies. One of my friends has told me that many people studied very hard and appeared in GATE although they have studied opted EI in B.Tech.
- If you are looking for placement, then DAVV is the best. This institute always has better placement statistics than the other one that is SGSITS. My friend also told me that in DAVV, most of the students from E&TC, despite EI, are preferred by the recruitment companies.

If you have not so many ideas about the stream and do not aware of the institutional tag; then it is better to choose E&TC in DAVV. Besides, if you are considering these two institutes, then both are quite similar in terms of academics. However, E&TC also has many other fields in the future, so that the job opportunity might be expanded. Hence, it will be best to go for E&TC over EI.
Which is better for EnTC: VIIT, Pune or PCCOE, Pune?
If you are planning to go for electronics and communication technology (EnTC) then opt for VIIT Pune.
It has a well-strategic academic curriculum for EnTC and the placement rate is also highly appreciable. The average salary is Rs 5.44 lakh. It has a beautiful campus, central library, conference room, and seminar hall which will win your heart. Whereas for PCCOE, Pune you'll find decent placement with a very average salary. You will find a wide variety of opportunities at VIIT.

Which is the better option, HBTU electronic engineering or IET Lucknow ECE?
Choosing a particular college or a department actually depends on you, and how you want to shape your career ahead. Having known some people who study in both these institutions, I can say that they all have their fair share of strengths and weaknesses.
I might not be able to help you select one among them, because they are both good in their own ways. So, I will share some information about them which might help you make the choice.
- ECE at IET Lucknow has one of the finest faculty. They also have a great student crowd.
- HBTU also has highly experienced faculty members.
- Placements at HBTU are also much better than IET Lucknow.
- The enrolled candidates of the GATE exam are really great.
- They also offer a vast alumni network unlike IET.

How good is ECE at NIT Trichy compared to NITT CSE?

Which is better, IIIT, Vadodara for IT or IIIT, Guwahati for ECE?
You have to decide based on the field in which you are passionate. There is not much difference in the curriculum framework since both are IIITs.
- In your first year, you will be studying the same core subjects be it IT or ECE branch.
- In your second year, IIIT Guwahati offers a lot of research opportunities if you are into it.
- You have a chance to opt for a project matching your field of interest out of numerous ones in the lot.

Is it good to take the ETC branch in VSSUT? How good are the placements in ETC in VSSUT?
Electronics, although a vast branch has limited scope in colleges like VSSUT. So, I would not recommend you to take ETC in VSSUT.
You will face many problems, especially in practicals. The lab equipment is outdated hindering the practicals. Most students copy from each other and rarely do students solve a practical question on their own. The professors are also underqualified so your only saviors here are the toppers or the geeks.
The grading is pathetic and some professors don’t give marks unless they know you personally. Students are required to wear formal and clean shaved faces for the next 4 years, unlike the students of other branches.
The lab records will be disapproved and you will have to write it again and again. The students of this branch get back in their exams frequently. The fault is in the faculty members and yet no action is taken against them.
Although I recommend you not to join this branch, you can consider talking to the seniors once before making the final decision.

- Teaching is mostly theoretical with less practical explanation and implementation.
- Students prefer noncore jobs and thus lose interest in the core ECE field
- Apt of irrelevant courses need to cover just for credits

- The department is located in the same building as that of CS and thus you will be sharing some courses and electives with CS students making you more employable.
- You will have an edge over others because most software companies prefer ECE and CSE students over other branches.

Should I choose mechanical at Thapar or ECE at BIET Jhansi?
The best advice and answer for your question would be to, “Follow your heart". This is not supposed to be cliché but the best choice that you can make would be the one where you believe your career is.
If you have a keen interest in machines, automobiles, and thermodynamics, then you must opt for Mechanical Engineering. If you hold an interest in circuit branches, then you should opt for Electrical Engineering. If you realise your niche and have an honest interest in your branch then your choice of college would not matter much as the Course curriculum for Engineering is almost the same for both colleges.
A lot of people believe that Mechanical Engineering is the toughest but you should do your research before opting for your branch. Choosing the right branch will also give you enough time to prepare for CAT while attending your college.
Thapar University can be the best option if you can afford the fee. You will be given better job opportunities once you complete the degree. BIET Jhansi is recognized in UP only and the placement opportunity is very less. A few of my friends from BIET Jhansi have often complained about lack of resources and a very competitive environment.
