How is Chandigarh University for CSE?
The placement opportunities at Chandigarh University are excellent. When it comes to CSE, students have been able to secure pay packages as high as Rs 31LPA. Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Hitachi, CTS, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, and other international brands visit the Chandigarh university campus on a regular basis. One of the most important aspects of a B. Tech in CSE is the opportunity for final-year students to receive on-the-job training, which is a significant benefit for students preparing for careers.
Much new software is provided to the students, and they are taught how to use it, as well as given support so that they can develop their own new software and continue to work with them to improve human life.
Which should I choose: CSE at BITS, Goa or CSE at NIT, Trichy?

- Brand value: BIT Pilani enjoys a better brand value because of its rich legacy and wins in this aspect although NIT itself is not very bad either.
- Fees: This is where NIT Trichy takes the lead as its BTech one-year fee is only ?1.78 Lakhs (1st Year Fees) while BITS Goa BE first-year fee is ?5.72 Lakhs.
- Placements: BITS Goa again is the winner here although, with excellent coding skills, you can get a great job in any of the 2 institutes.
So, unless you have any financial constraints, BITS Goa is the best choice for you.

What is the minimum score for NIT Trichy computer science in JEE (Main) 2021?
Computer science in NIT Trichy is considered to be tough and the dream branch in one of the best colleges. For this, you will have to work hard. To get CSE in Trichy, you might need a score of above 290 in JEE Main.
This is very tough but if you score anywhere above 290, It will be a safe zone for you as those students who qualify JEE mains are sure to get top IITs and NITs. If you wish to get into NIT Trichy for CSE, 290 above would be a safe score for you. You must remember that if you dream high, you will have to work hard.
Which gives better placement in cse, LPU or KIIT?
Both KIIT and LPU are considered as top private universities for engineering. But I can only speak in favour of LPU as I have done my education at LPU.
I interacted with my friends at LPU who have done their BTech CSE. More than 500+ recruiters visit the campus for placements every year. BTech CSE placements at LPU recorded INR 42 lakhs as the highest salary package. Additionally, LPU had 110+ recruiters from top colleges like IITs, IIMs, and NITs. The highest monthly stipend for any kind of internship at LPU is around 80k.
Tanya Arora, a final year BTech CSE student secured INR 42 lakh job offer from Microsoft. Amazon also offered INR 28 lakhs package. Utkarsh secured a position at Google HQ in Silicon Valley with a package of INR 1 crore.
This I hope proves my point that LPU is better for CSE than KIIT.
Which is better NIT Trichy ECE or NIT Calicut CSE?
NIT Trichy is always considered superior to its counterparts and rightly so. The institute has a record of excellent placements, a competitive environment, and a highly learned faculty pool. NIT Calicut is well-known for its exceptionally good CSE department.
So, I think the decision of choosing between NIT Trichy ECE and NIT Calicut depends more on personal preferences than the institute. However you would like to consider the following points before making the final decision,
- ECE is a bit more challenging than CSE in terms of the curriculum and the opportunities offered. However, hard work and assistance from faculty can help you. CSE on the other hand is an evergreen branch that has a record of providing hefty packages and great opportunities in general.
- NIT Trichy has a difficult campus life owing to its extremely hot climate and remote location. NIT Silchar has a pleasant climate with a beautiful lush green campus.
If you look at the overall picture, both colleges have excellent departments and offer similar opportunities, so the major determining criteria should be your branch preference. If you are interested in electronic systems and communication, go for NIT Trichy ECE but if you have an interest in programming NIT Calicut CSE is better for you.
Which one would be a better choice, in terms of career, if one has the option to pursue a B.Tech/M.Tech in CSE from either the NITs/BITS or IIIT Hyderabad?
One of my friends was in a similar dilemma when he had to choose between NIT, BITS Pilani, and IIIT Hyderabad. Visiting the NITs he found out about their poor infrastructure so removed it from his preference list. Confused between BITS and IIIT he decided to consult his cousin in BITS and eventually decided to go for it. Today, he claims that choosing BITS was one of the wisest decisions of his life. He stated his entire experience that I have summarised below in points
- BITS Pilani focuses on the holistic development of its students and its wide range of clubs, departments, disciplinary associations, and regional associations develop you as a person and not just as an engineer.
- The institute instills a sense of responsibility within you and you become an emphatic part of the society.
- BITS Pilani gives you the chance to work on interdisciplinary projects with mechanical and electrical engineering students,
- Here you will see an active entrepreneurship culture and the professors not only motivate but also assist the students in the same.
- The research culture is another prominent feature and my friend won several international accolades.
- You will be surprised to know that BITS is the only private Indian university that is working on sensitive military projects.
- The BITS tag does help in securing good packages but the rest of the journey depends on your efforts, performance, practical experience, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
So, every institute be it IIIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani or NIT Trichy offers its own kind of opportunities, culture, and resources. It depends on you, how much you are willing to make the most out of them.
How are the CSE placements in SVNIT Surat??
During the 2022 placement season, out of 106 registered B.Tech CSE students, 94 were successfully placed from the SVNIT campus. The highest package offered was 44 LPA, the average package was 15.22 LPA, and the minimum package was 5.56 LPA.
As for M.Tech CSE, 20 students were successfully placed during the placement drive. The highest package offered was 31 LPA, the average package was 15.88 LPA, and the lowest package was 7.50 LPA.
The top recruiters of SVNIT are- Adobe, Amazon, Samsung, JP Morgan, Infosys, Jio, GEP, Axis Bank, Deloitte, Godrej, Accenture, TCS, Airtel, Mathworks and Bigbasket, among others.
Is CSE at NIT Srinagar a good option?
If you are considering NIT Srinagar for CSE, here are a few things you should know-
- CSE students face no trouble because of attendance shortage.
- You’ll be eligible for a good number of companies visiting the campus during the placement season.
- The permanent teachers are good but less in number.
- Though the teachers are good, you’ll have to heavily depend on self-study.
- This department puts minimum academic pressure on students. The curriculum is also manageable.
Here are a few points about NIT Srinagar in general-
- Srinagar will allow you to enjoy the beauty of nature. You’ll lack access to malls and cinema halls, but the mesmerizing weather will be worth everything.The weather remains cold for 7 to 8 months of the year.
- You can go for a stroll or play sports on the banks of Dal Lake.
- There’s unfortunately, corruption in the college administrative and management units.
- The hostels have WiFi and ultra-high-speed broadband lines.
- The mess food isn’t great, and vegetarians/Jains have very limited food options, both inside and outside the campus.
- There are holidays due to frequent strikes, ‘bandhs’ and curfews.
- The number of girls on campus is quite low.
You won’t be offered a typical college experience at NIT Srinagar. But this place will teach you a lot. Academically, you’ll be on your own. But for a stress-free campus life, you can consider this college.
How are the CSE placements in SVNIT Surat?
Like most of the engineering colleges in India, being in the CSE branch can get you better placements as compared to other core branches at SVNIT Surat. My friend is pursuing his B.Tech in CSE final year from SVNIT Surat and he’s currently preparing for his campus placement.
From the past couple of years, the placement record has been quite good with well-reputed companies visiting the campus. These companies include Amazon, Microsoft, Endurance, DeShaw, Oracle., etc.
