First of all, never compare Jadavpur University with NIT Durgapur for the Engineering stream. Second important thing is, people usually prefer B.Tech and M.Tech students over the one who has opted for Dual degree program. The reason for this is dual degree programs are not valuable in industry or research.

Talking particularly about CSE, Jadavpur University is quite good and even better than the new IITs and most of the NITs. You can’t. There is no direct formula for converting CGPA to percentage. After the end of semesters, the mark sheet you will receive will contain your CGPA, the total marks you obtained with credits for each subject. Now CGPA is a function of both the marks you obtained in a subject and the credits it carries. While percentage is only a function of the marks you obtained in a subject. So, there is no formula to convert percentages to CGPA and, vice versa. But simply multiplying your CGPA by 9.5 will give you an approximate answer.

• There are arrangements for several indoor games, including carom and table tennis. The Sen hall also has a garden, where students can play short-pitch cricket or badminton.
• In the Sen hall, there is a good senior-junior relationship, where 3rd and 4th years stay. No report of ragging is evident from the Sen hall.
• The mess food is quite good, with the presence of supportive and caring mess staff. Students get to eat Biryani twice or thrice a month.
• The mess manager is allotted every month, which consists of both 3rd and 4th-year students. So, both the batches can decide the menu for the entire month.

It might be not so difficult but not too easy. If you can sit and study for 8 hours and stretch longer you can get 9 pointers easily and successfully.
