The BCA program at Lovely Professional University (LPU) is conducted offline based on an entrance examination which is conducted online. Admission to the program is conducted in multiple stages. 

Application procedure and selection criteria: Interested students need to register on LPUADMIT and complete the required fields. They are also required to apply for LPUNEST, an online examination that serves as both an admission test and a scholarship evaluation. Candidates must appear for the test to get admission. Selection will be based on the marks secured in LPUNEST.

Upon completing the application process, an initial payment of INR 10,000 is required. Necessary documents must be uploaded, including a recent photograph, matriculation mark sheet, qualifying exam certificate and mark sheet, and proof of address.

Eligibility criteria: The candidate must pass the qualifying exam with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in 10+2 (with English) or an equivalent qualification. The requirement for English as a subject may be waived for candidates who have yet to study it if their qualifying exam was conducted in English medium or an equivalent subject.

Candidates from North-East states, Sikkim, Defence Personnel and their Dependents, or Wards of Kashmiri Migrants have their aggregate marks relaxed by 5%. Admission to the BCA program is based on merit in the qualifying examination.

LPU conducts two types of placement drives: Joint Placement Drives and Normal Placement Drives. In Joint Placement Drives, multiple colleges/universities and LPU organize the drive, allowing students from those institutions to participate. The minimum eligibility criterion for Normal Placement Drives by LPU is a CGPA of 5.0 (50%).

Different companies have specific eligibility criteria; for example, Company A may require a CGPA of 7.0 or above with no backlogs. Company B may accept students with a CGPA of 6.5 or higher and a maximum of one backlog.

LPU automatically registers eligible students for upcoming company placements, with a one-day window to deregister if uninterested. Company visits are announced daily on the LPU Touch App, which provides details such as the registered student list, location, and reporting time.

Students facing issues regarding a specific company placement can inform the placement coordinator. Proper formal attire, including the LPU logo blazer, full-sleeve pastel-coloured shirt, matching pants, tie, formal shoes, and well-groomed appearance, is mandatory for all students attending placements.

LPU offers a four-year Agriculture degree program approved by ICAR from MHRD. Eligibility criteria for B.Sc Agriculture at LPU:

1. Admission to the B.Sc. The agriculture course is based on clearing the LPUNEST exam, with no interview criteria. 
2. Applicants must pass with 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 or Intermediate with specific subject combinations.
3. As of December 31, 2023, the minimum age for admission to B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture is 16.
4. The LPUNEST exam can be taken online remotely conducted from home or at a test center.
5. The annual fee for the program is INR 2,40,000 without scholarships, with a fee of INR 1,20,000 per semester.

The B.Sc. (Hons.)
