I am currently pursuing my MBA HR from LPU. Here is the view of a hostel room and hostel mess at LPU-

LPU hostels have the following facilities-
These are paid hostel facilities-
The Dormitories ( 6 seater-16 seater) have air cooler facility (non AC), and are with/without attached washroom (as applicable). The Standard Hostel Rooms are 1 seater- 6 seater, and the apartments are 1 seater- 4 seater.
The Standard Hostel Rooms and Dormitories have iron beds for students, while the apartments have wooden box beds.
Overall, the LPU hostel rooms are decent and spacious. They have all the necessary facilities.
To book a residential facility, students can pay an initial deposit of INR 10,000. The balance or pending charges must be deposited by the prescribed date before joining or reporting to the university residence.
LPU offers authentic and average residential facilities. Amenities include a 24-hour power supply, gym, laundry, mess, Wi-Fi, etc. The hostel's mess provides good quality and hygienic food four times a day. Over 1 Lakh meals are prepared daily. The menu is decided by the university, focusing on health and a balanced diet and students aren’t allowed to decide on the menu for each day.
Each meal consists of 4 to 5 items, blending essential nutrients. Meals served include breakfast, lunch, evening snacks, and dinner. They also prepare special menus for festive occasions. Students are free to choose between Standard Mess and South Indian Mess.
Standard Mess offers a mix of North Indian, South Indian, Chinese, and Italian cuisines. Appointed food inspectors conduct regular quality checks. The menu is different each day. The food quality is highly appreciable, but in terms of cost, it is quite costlier than the local mess outside the university.
The overall expenses for accommodation vary for both girls and boys based on the choice of AC or non-AC rooms, whereas the fees for meals are the same for all. For MBA batch 2024–25, girls are charged 80,000 for non-ac rooms and 1,35,000 for AC rooms. For boys, fees for AC rooms vary between 60,000 and 75,000, and fees for non-AC rooms vary between 1,05,000 and 1,30,000 based on occupancy.
Mess charges are $7,000 per month, which is a charge on a half-yearly basis for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians. The rooms are well furnished and have wardrobes, beds, and study tables with proper light and ventilation. The mess area is also well-ventilated and is cleaned before every meal.
DFS DU offers hostel facilities for students through the University of Delhi hostel system. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The boys' hostels are named Aravali and Saramati, and the girls' hostel is named Geetanjali. DFS DU offers a residential program and after admission, students are required to apply for a hostel. There is a gym, water heating, proper furniture, a common room, a garden, and many more amenities in the hostel. There are negligible hostel charges of around Rs. 26,000 yearly covering everything. The cost of a hostel is pretty low compared to other B-Schools.
The Department of Finance isn't an independent college with its campus. It's a department within the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences and Humanities at the University of Delhi. The University of Delhi itself has a sprawling campus spread across 300 acres, but DFS DU students generally attend classes and participate in activities across various buildings within the South Campus, which is approximately 69 acres. The campus has an auditorium, library, hostel and canteen, football ground, cricket ground, and badminton court.
