The hostel fees for the first year is charged along with the course fees. However, from the second year, you need to pay the hostel fees in April. The whole fee is charged altogether, that is, for the whole academic year and not month-wise. You are eligible to pay a late fee if you are not able to pay the LPU hostel fees on time or you could lose your accommodation as there is always a high demand for the hostel.

LPU provide its students with various options for dining within the campus. You can consider sources according to your budget and dietary preferences. The campus has multiple cafes and food stalls serving a variety of food. It also has kiosks for all major cuisines. 

The university mall has various dining options, from traditional foods to modern coffee shops. It also has quality food restaurants and departmental stores offering students with quick food options. 

LPU emphasise hygiene and quality in its dining processes ensuring students get nutritious and filling meals all around the campus. Moreover, it also has a mess offering meal plans and dining packages providing students with food at affordable prices.

LPU provide its students with really good accommodation facilities irrespective of the courses. It provides well-equipped hostel rooms with various configurations for different preferences and budgets. The university has 17 multi-story hostel buildings. Each hostel has its own dedicated warden and maintenance staff. Some of the top facilities that are provided to students in the LPU hostel include furnished rooms, laundry services, internet connectivity, water purifier, ambulance service, CCTV support and more.

I am from a different state and am currently staying in Parul University’s hostel. 

• The hostel facility is pretty good and you get your room with a bed, cupboard, study table, study lamp, bedsheets, etc. 
• The overall hostel infrastructure is good and affordable as well. 
• The food provided is also pretty good. You get Gujarati, and Rajasthani cuisines mainly.
• Overall, I would rate Parul University’s hostel a 4 out of 5 for the facilities they offer, and 3 out of 5 for the meals. I think they should include more cuisines.

LPU hostel food is good. The LPU hostel provides all residential facilities with dining halls that provide good quality and hygienic food four times a day. Meals for over 60,000 hostel students are prepared each day.

If you live in an LPU hostel, everything will be very convenient, like classes, libraries, and other facilities. This can save you time and transportation costs. It will save you time and money, too.

• Lodging: Compare to living in the LPU hostel with a nearby PG. Compare the rent, food, utilities, and transportation.
• Safety: I think LPU hostels are safer for both boys and girls than PG hostels.
• Social Life: I think in hostel life, you can interact with many students and also create a bond with everyone.

So, from my point of view, the LPU hostel is more affordable and convenient for you.

The mess food in the hostel is served 3 times per day, however, it is closed on Sunday night. The food cooked is excellent and hygienic. They serve all types of cuisines, mainly Gujarati, Rajasthani, etc. Each day's meal is different based on the menu and you will be informed in advance of any daily menu changes. However, please note that there is no provision for non-vegetarian options.

I am a B.Tech CSE student at LPU. I joined the university in 2022, and since then, have been living in the university hostel.

At LPU, there are 17 multi-story hostels (including the luxury apartments). Each hostel has its separate entrance and exit, a mess, a tuck shop, wardens and maintenance staff. The LPU campus has all the amenities within itself, so hostellers need not step outside the campus for anything. 

Here are the facilities offered in the LPU hostel rooms, on the basis of the two categories into which they are divided-

• Standard Rooms- These rooms have a lodge-like arrangement with students sharing 4/3/2 seater rooms, or living in a single seater room. The rooms have an attached washroom facility. There is an option of an AC/Cooler installation in the rooms. These rooms contain- an Iron Bed, Plastic Chair, Study Table and Almirah for each student. They have a Geyser and AC/Air Cooler (As Opted).
• Apartments- The apartments are 1/2/3/4 seater rooms with attached washroom facility. These are luxurious accommodations. These rooms contain a common kitchen area, and dining and lobby area. The rooms have a Wooden Box Bed, Plastic Chair, StudyTable, and Almirah for each student. These rooms have AC and Geyser facilities.

These are the facilities available at LPU hostels. LPU has a good hostel infrastructure and everything is well-maintained.

No, Christ's hostel does not have any food options. The hostel fees only include accommodation and no food. However, there are seven canteens on the campus. So, you will have enough options to buy it from there. You need to pay the canteen for food or prepare food by yourself. The quality and hygiene of food is maintained. The hostel maintains strict decorum. No food is allowed inside the hostels and there is a strict dress code that you will have to keep in mind. There is a biometrics system installed at the hostel. You must sign out once in the morning and sign in the evening before 8:30 PM. The registration process for the hostel is smooth and easy to understand. The seats are limited so first-cum-first-serve basis is followed.
