The institute does not accept GATE scores. Instead, it evaluates candidates based on a unique test, NCAT. For the final admission, NCAT score, academic performance, work experience, and Personal Interview (PI) are considered. 

NCAT is a test conducted online on Saturday and Sunday. There are three sections as discussed below.

After the test, there will be a group discussion in a group of 15 students. The PI will be technically based, but it will not be at a higher end.

After all rounds, based on the aggregate scores, the merit list is prepared. Overall, with a decent knowledge and scores in each round, you can get admission to NICMAR.

Yes, you can take a loan and study at NICMAR as it is worth the risk. But it is entirely your decision. People who come to the university and work hard do receive decent opportunities. 

One of my friends joined the institute a few years back. He took a 10.5 lakh education loan from CREDILA. He was also uncertain about his decision. But after completing his course he is certain, he made the right choice. He made the most of his time at the institute and scored 6.92 CPI. Which provided him with a lot of decent opportunities. 

Yes, there are a couple of ways you can try to pay your fees and complete your education. Your interest in the course is the only thing necessary. Not everyone on the NICMAR campus is rich or economically stable. To aid a student in terms of fees, there are scholarships available at NICMAR. 

If you score the highest marks in the NICMAR trimester, then you will be offered a 100% scholarship for that particular trimester.

Apart from this, there is an option to avail of an education loan. The banks which provide the education loans are available at the time of admission in the campus itself. 

The loans are to be paid after you get a job and these policies differ according to the bank for which you need to enquire with the respective banks. So, you can choose which suits you best and take it.

Any course which is done in an online distance format does not get as much attention as the regular courses do. Therefore, if you are thinking of opting for online distance education from any college, not just NICMAR, and feel that it will turn around your life after your degree, it will not.

But if you need it for an extra certificate or knowledge, you can go ahead as it will be a nice experience. If you have prior work experience, then these courses can help you change your job profiles. It can also help you get promotions. 

Commonly, the profiles that are offered by the industry do not essentially differ a lot in any branch. You can possibly be eligible for various profiles once graduated from NICMAR. These are to name a few,

Anyhow, these profiles partially also depend upon the respective organization or the company, for instance,

1. Companies such as L&T or HCC will most likely recruit for profiles like planning, contract engineering, quality surveyor, and others.
2. On the contrary, realtor firms and design interiors will most preferably recruit project controllers or project coordinators. 
3. Product-based companies look for market researchers, business developers, or more.
4. In the case of financial firms, the recruitment would be on the spectrum of valuation, finance, and more.
5. However, most of the consultant companies would prefer BIM engineering, structural designers, and other similar job roles.

The company you enlist at decides the profile you will belong to. As once mentioned earlier, if you graduate from NICMAR, then you will undeniably be allotted any one of these aforementioned roles, provided you are good at it. 

NICMAR is a non-profit organization offering PG construction management certifications to students. It is equivalent to an MBA degree, but students earn only a certificate. It might turn out to be a drawback. 

But joining NICMAR is not risky as the majority of the batch profile are recent graduates. Placements might be difficult because of the large intake. However, if you have a solid academic record before joining, you have a high chance of getting hired by a well-known company with a decent package.
