How good is the EFPM program from IIM Rohtak?
EFPM is an executive doctoral program of IIM Rohtak. It is suitable for people who are interested in conducting research in the field of Management.
Some things to know about this program are
- The faculty is young in some areas with very less experience.
- This is not a degree certification but just a title of Fellow of IIM-Rohtak as per the new IIM Act.
- You will face many administrative challenges.
- All the pedagogy is digital. Be it books, cases, or even lectures. This is not very helpful for people who lack technical skills.
So before finally opting for the course make sure you keep these points in mind.
How do I prepare for the PI for IIM Rohtak?
Recently IIM Rohtak has stopped taking admissions under the CAP process and now conducts its own PI round. This round is quite similar to the Personal Interviews of other B Schools. Some tips to prepare for this round are
- Prepare a strong introduction. They say the first impression is the last impression. You can use this opportunity to steer the interview in your own direction. Talk about your achievements, strengths, and diverse experiences in the form of a story.
- Study current affairs thoroughly. Most of the questions they ask will be related to current affairs. You can read newspapers or watch online lectures to prepare for this.
- Study your state’s government scenarios. They might ask General Awareness Questions related to Indian polity, economy, and geography.
- Revise your past subjects. They might ask you about your favorite subjects so prepare well for this.
- Prepare for answering all work experience-related questions. These should be answered in the STAR approach (Situation, Task, Action, Result).
- Study about the institute. They might ask any questions related to the institute and your reason for choosing it.
- Know your hobbies and interests. This is a very common question in an interview and you can use it to direct the interview toward yourself.
The interviews now are usually conducted online so follow the general online PI etiquettes and you are good to go.
How effective is the HR analytics course from IIM Rohtak for a fresher?
My cousin recently completed the HR Analytics course from IIM Rohtak. He claims that the curriculum and the pedagogy are amazing and its highlight was the final visit to the campus prior to the completion of the course.
This course is suitable if
- If you already are working somewhere and have enough experience
- If you have completed your regular studies and are just looking for a program to advance your career
This course is not suitable if
- You have enough time and potential for higher studies
- You are not planning to work in the near future
In either case, it’s better if you go for a regular program than a part-time correspondence course.
Should I do IPM from IIM Rohtak?
Yes, you can take an IPM course at IIM Rohtak. There are several reasons for this, including:
- The course choices are delicately varied.
- Several webinars featuring eminent people such as the minister of sports and youth development, the minister of petroleum and natural gas, the minister of state for external affairs, and others are held on a regular basis.
- The quality of a college is determined by the quality of its students. You can see people from various backgrounds, from various locations, doing various things in life. Some freelance, others are almost professional stock traders, and so on. These people encourage you to explore yourself and your potential.
- Rohtak is in the National Capital Region. As a result, expect a lot of companies to come into contact on campus for recruitment.
- For the 2022 placement, the highest and average salary packages are INR 30 LPA and 15.92, respectively.
IIM Rohtak and Indore IPM students have formed a community to help aspirants get into the IIMs of their dreams. They have a YouTube channel and a Telegram channel where they share free academic content, daily quizzes, news updates, vocabulary boosts, and more.
How are the hostels and residential facilities at IIM Rohtak?
The housekeepers at IIM Rohtak take good care of the hostels, which are well-designed. Along with a common area, a medical room, and a fitness center, the entire hostel building has Wi-Fi access available around-the-clock. A good selection of nutritious meals is offered to students in the canteen. You can stay in a hostel provided by the program on campus.
The hostel's expenses and fees are all included in the rates. The government provides all basic necessities. Students must stay in the hostel and are not allowed to choose private PGs or rooms. The hostels for boys and girls are segregated. Students run the shambles, and it's fantastic. The food served is both delicious and nutritious.
How hard is it to crack the IIM IPM Rohtak aptitude test?
In comparison to IIM Indore and DUJAT, IIM IPM Rohtak Aptitude Test does not include questions from 11th and 12th-grade mathematics. The IIM Rohtak Math section focuses primarily on Quantitative Aptitude.
The following is a section-by-section analysis of the paper:
- 40 minutes of QA - 40 questions
There are ten to eleven questions on numbers and related topics. There are 13-14 questions on Arithmetic, with 5 on basic percentages, 2 on Time and Work and 2 on Boats and Streams, and 1 on Pipes and Cistern, Mixture, Profit and Loss, and Trains. There are three Trigonometry questions, two of which are based on heights and distance and the other on Trigonometric Identities. There will be a question from each of the following categories: Age Problem, Set Theory, Permutation and Combination, and Probability. There are also 3-4 Geometry questions and 4 Data Sufficiency questions.
- 40 minutes for LR - 40 questions
Conclusion, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Number Series, and Code-based Comparison each have five questions. Following that, there are three questions each on Blood Relationship, Direction Sense, Set Theory, and Cause and Effect. Clocks and Calendars each have one question.
- 40 minutes for VA – 40 questions
There are three passages, each with three, three, and four questions. Each passage is one paragraph long and contains 400-500 words. The questions on Vocabulary are given a higher weightage, with 6 direct questions on Antonyms and Synonyms, 5 questions on Spelling Mistakes, 4 questions on Analogies, and 3 questions on Word Usage. There are 3-4 Para Jumble questions and 4-5 Sentence Completion questions. Two questions, one each on conjunction and passive voice, are likely to be asked.
I need help building my future between MDI Gurgaon, IIM Udaipur, and IIM Rohtak. Which college should I choose for my Postgraduate Management Program?
MDI Gurgaon does, however, provide the best opportunity of the three. Because IIM A serves as its mentor, IIM Udaipur benefits from excellent pedagogy.
An IIM designation is a tasty differentiator, but most corporations do not differentiate in MBA programs except ABC.
MDI provides the best placements of the three. And, as an MBA graduate, you're all about the numbers. No college can guarantee you the job you want. However, at MDI, you will have plenty of opportunities in the field of your choice. You'll also benefit from good industry relationships built over years of goodwill. Even during downturns, some companies attend MDI on a regular basis. New IIMs have several years to build self-sustaining industry goodwill. Placements are thus unpredictable.
Nonetheless, if the IIM designation is a general requirement. The location is the new IIMs. However, you must work equally hard because that title alone does not guarantee a successful career.
How is IIM Rohtak for a person interested in consultancy?
During the placement process at IIM Rohtak, three of the so-called ‘Big 4’ visited the campus for offering roles in their companies. The four companies are Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, E&Y. The institute hopes that it can maintain a friendly relationship with the companies.
The companies ended up recruiting a large number of students from General Management and Consulting.
Consulting, as a subject, comes during your second year. It will help you to hone your skills in the domain of consultancy. One of the best faculty at IIM Rohtak is Prof. Sujit Kumar who will make the topics interesting for you.
IIM Rohtak has a dedicated club for Strategy and Consulting and it is instrumental in bringing live projects from reputed. If you are sure of being recruited in consultancy either on or off-campus, then you have a bright future in this course.
Has IIM Rohtak shifted to its new campus? What is the new campus like?
IIM Rohtak is currently operating from its permanent campus, Management City, which is located on NH-10, Southern Bye-Pass, Sunaria. The campus encompasses approximately 200 acres in total. IIM Rohtak has access to all infrastructure facilities. The Management City is divided into three sections: Administration, Academics, and Residential. The Academic block is divided into two sub-blocks, one for the IPM Program and one for the PGP Program. The Knowledge Resource Centre is a member of the IIM Libraries Consortium and has a collection of over 5000 books as well as online subscriptions to over 57 print journals, magazines, and 35 e-databases.
Aside from the administrative and academic buildings, the campus has a number of residential buildings. The IPM Batch will be housed in two separate hostels. Apart from these two, there are over 15 housing complexes for PGP, FPM, and ePGP students. It also has a seminar hall with seating for 1000 people that serves as the primary venue for all management and cultural events held at the college. Cricket, football, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, and athletics are all available on campus. In 2019, a fully functional Student Activity Centre was inaugurated, which includes a fully equipped gymnasium, three indoor badminton courts, and the Medical Inspection Room.
For an MBA PGDM, which is better IMT Ghaziabad or IIM Rohtak?
When comparing IIM Rohtak to IMT Ghaziabad, the preference varies from person to person. IIM Rohtak is unable to match IMT G's history, its extensive network of corporate connections, and its superior learning environment and segment of the population.
IIM Rohtak is unquestionably a good choice, and it will get you the IIM name, which IMT Ghaziabad lacks. If you are certain that you want to pursue marketing, then disregard IIM Rohtak. When it comes to marketing, IMT G easily outperforms it.
There isn't much of a difference between IIM Rohtak and IMT Ghaziabad, so your decision between them ultimately depends on how you want to shape yourself if your options aren't limited to marketing or if you haven't decided what you'll pursue and explore once you enroll in the B-school. If either of these situations applies to you, then you must make a personal decision.
If you want to study marketing, IMT Ghaziabad is the place to be. If you decide on anything other than marketing, you will end up getting hired for the same corporate positions. IMT G, as a brand, currently offers better prospects than IIM Rohtak and has much more to offer.
