I personally will recommend you join NMIMS rather than IBS Hyderabad. Some major reasons that support my recommendation are
NMIMS has a decent placement scenario.NMIMS Hyderabad is known for achieving a 100% placement record. The institute successfully conducted its placement drive for the 2019-21 batch. 100% of the participating students got placed. The final placement report for the 2019-21 batch has been released. According to the report, the highest CTC rose up to INR 15 LPA. Students received an average CTC of INR 9.59 LPA.
SCIT has released the final placement statistics for MBA ITBM and MBA DSDA batch 2020-22. The highest package offered to MBA ITBM students was INR 32.29 LPA and for MBA DSDA it was INR 32.21 LPA. The placement rate recorded for both courses was 100%. Over 30 companies participated in MBA ITBM placements and more than 25 companies were part of the MBA DSDA placement drive in 2022.
Compare the ROI and check the field of specialization before making the final decision.
Among the campuses of IBS, Hyderabad is considered the best, followed by Mumbai and Pune. It is assumed that the syllabus and course content are similar across the three campuses. Hyderabad is considered to be the best in terms of facilities and resources, while Mumbai is also a strong option, with good professors, case studies, presentations, and a well-equipped campus.
While IBS Hyderabad has a strong placement record, most of the offered positions are in sales. There are also opportunities in advertising, retailing, and other fields, but they are less prevalent. The pay packages offered by the college are decent. After gaining some experience through campus placements, you can explore job opportunities outside the college.
It is important to note that none of the IBS campuses are AICTE approved, but they are affiliated with ICFAI University in Dehradun. As an alternative, you can opt for a distance MBA program by paying an additional fee.
First of all IBS Hyderabad is not a recognized college. Back in 2007-2009 students went against the college’s false promises and threw stones to protest. The college was in full bloom till 2006. But ever since then the quality of education and its brand value has been deteriorating. Some major reasons for its decline in value are
It’s because of such reasons that it has lost its original reputation and is famous for all the wrong reasons. So I don’t think it’s very wise to risk your career by making such a choice.
To make an informed decision, you need to analyze your future prospects. Consider where you see yourself two years from now, or, if money is a primary concern for you, estimate how much you will earn in two years.
The average package offered by IBS Hyderabad is 6 lakhs. However, if you have a couple of years of experience and are in the top 10th percentile of your batch, there is a good chance you could earn 7-8 lakhs. In this case, enrolling in IBS Hyderabad would be a viable option if you don't see yourself earning a similar salary within two years.
Furthermore, you should evaluate your ability to gain admission to a better business school such as an IIM. If you have the potential to do so, it would be a wise decision to invest your efforts into pursuing this opportunity. However, if you really believe that you are not in that league, enrolling in IBS Hyderabad would still be a viable option, as discussed in the second paragraph.
One of my friends had a great GD-PI experience at IBS Hyderabad. He recounted having 8-9 candidates in his GD session. Almost every individual was extraordinarily talented and spoke very boldly and did not shy away from sharing their views on the concerned topics.
After the GD round, the individuals were directed to their respective personal interviews. The interview was nothing extraordinary and he was asked about the most basic things.
He concluded by saying that anyone with the right mindset and skills can get into IBS. You should be confident enough and able to convey your thoughts. He also added that if anyone is opting for IBS, he should only go for the Mumbai or Hyderabad campus as the crowd is extremely moderate in other campuses.
Considering your profile you indeed have a good chance of getting shortlisted in the selection process and getting into IBS Hyderabad. It’s nothing to be said proudly but IBS Hyderabad has lowered its cut off in recent years mainly to attract more students and anything above 75 really guarantees admission into the B school. Make sure to keep yourself updated with the waiting list and get yourself enrolled in the IBS Hyderabad campus only.
FORE School of Management is definitely the better choice than IBS Hyderabad. It is better in almost all aspects when compared to IBS Hyderabad. The table below has drawn a slight comparison on the basis of some basic factors

From the above table we can infer the following points
An additional feature of FORE that sets it further apart from IBS Hyderabad is its International Immersion Program. This program offers the kind of exposure you cannot even get at a reputed B School like IBS. You get exposed to the Global corporate world and the best part is that its fees are included in the course fees. So considering all the points mentioned above I conclude that FORE is a far better choice than IBS Hyderabad for MBA.
It can be concluded that IBS Hyderabad is a better choice than IILM University based on the placement percentage, the average package offered, the highest international and domestic packages offered, and the top recruiters. IBS Hyderabad recorded a placement percentage of 99% with an average package offered of INR 8.71 LPA and a rise in the highest international package offered as compared to 2021. On the other hand, IILM University had a lower highest and average package offered at INR 18 LPA and INR 7.50 LPA, respectively.
Additionally, IBS Hyderabad has a strong brand value with over 58,000 alumni employed globally, while IILM University has limited brand recognition. The brand value of IBS Hyderabad, as an established B-School, contributes to better graduate placement opportunities through its alumni network and strong corporate relationships. In comparison, IILM University is not as well-known and its graduates may face limitations in terms of job opportunities. These factors highlight the superiority of IBS Hyderabad as a better option for those looking to pursue a management degree.
IBS Hyderabad, XIME Bangalore, and BIMTECH are well-known Indian B-schools with distinct capabilities.

XIME Bangalore is another top B-school with industry links and entrepreneurial orientation. The institute partners with numerous top companies to provide internships and actual projects for students.
BIMTECH specializes in retail management. Its comprehensive retail management program includes supply chain management, marketing, and merchandising. Many top retail companies hire from the institute.
Take BIMTECH only if you are interested in Retail Management, otherwise, any one of the 2 are at par with the other for general management.
There is no specific criterion by any company that visits campus. A few criteria are like what percentage of the batch is placed. If many students are unplaced, then the company can find a good pool of students they can hire. Some companies specifically look for work-experience candidates. For example, ICICI Lombard visits such campuses and asks for a candidate with at least 24 months of work experience. It all depends on how the placements committee is negotiating with the companies and what are the requirements of the companies. Sometimes they mention the number of candidates they are looking to hire. Sometimes, they don’t tell any number.
