- Sharda University provides contemporary and practical knowledge which trains them for the corporate world.
- Their students grasp communication skills and have social awareness. They also instil professionalism among the students, teaching them to work as a team.
- Sharda University helps the students to ignite their creative thinking which helps them further in the IT industry.
The best part about Sharda University is that it is located in the Delhi NCR region, and that allows the students to have a good college life and better placement opportunities. The faculty at Sharda University has a lot of experience in Management.
Which is better for a BCA, IMS Noida or Amity Noida?
Both IMS Noida and Amity Noida are two good colleges for pursuing BCA programs. As per many students, college does not matter much but the potential and knowledge do. One of my friends had studied from Amity and highly recommended it for pursuing a BCA program.
Here are some of the supporting facts :
- Amity has a brand name and ranks at the top among the various private institutions of India.
- Amity has one of the best faculties with vast expertise in all of their domains.
- There is a great need for practical knowledge for pursuing BCA and for that, Amity has great computer labs and it emphasizes much on practical classes.
- The campus has one of the finest infrastructures.
- There is great student diversity. Students from all over the country from varied backgrounds come here.
- The students will enhance their communication skills.
- The college has a great library.

The only disadvantage is that the college takes hefty fees and it is very strict about its attendance policy. If this is not one's concern, then Amity would be a great option.
Is CSJM good for a BCA?
I have a few friends from CSJM and according to them, it is not a good option for BCA. There is no scope for improvement or expansion. You should think about the best option for your future security and worth. The CSJM placement cell does not put enough effort to offer placements for the students. The placement records are not that good. The average CTC offered is around 3 LPA.
Rather than focusing on studies, the administration only required 75% attendance. The only advantage CSJM offers is the library.
Is Brainware University good for studying BCA? What is the placement scenario there?
Brainware University is a Private University situated in Kolkata. The college is recognized by UGC, AIU, and DSIR and has been recognized by PCI, BCI, and WBNC. The college was ranked 67th on the basis of faculty and placements in India by EW India Private University Rankings. The fees for the course are 2.8 Lakhs for a period of three years.
Admission Procedure

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to BCA at Brainware is scoring 60% in class 10 examinations and 55% in class 12 examinations.

Further, students are selected on the basis of ranking in Brainware University Entrance Test.
Facilities

The college is built over a large 9 acre campus. It has a huge library with a rich collection of journals, magazines, research reports, and videos.

The college also has separate in-campus boys and girls hostels and a number of laboratories.

It also provides a gym, sports facilities, recreation rooms, cafeterias and shuttle service for students. The campus is also equipped with Wi-Fi facilities.
Placements

The course has a high placement rate of 90%.

Companies such as Amazon, Flipkart and Google come on campus for BCA placements.

The placement package offered by recruiting companies ranges between 2LPA and 5LPA.
The college is well-renowned for its placements as top companies come for placements and the college has a near-perfect placement rate for its BCA students. The return on investment is higher than other private colleges. The infrastructure of the college is well-maintained with the advantage of having on-campus hostels. The college is also ranked highly within West Bengal among private universities.
How is the BCA course at the School of Information Technology in IMS Noida?
The above answer is based on the reviews of my friends who are alumni of IMS Noida and are successful today. It's a very unbiased review and intends no criticism of the institute.
The primary 3 aspects that are the foundation of any college are its students, teachers, and infrastructure. So I will be writing the review based on these aspects only.
Teachers
There is a big difference between being qualified and being a good teacher. While most of the teachers are highly qualified, only a few are good teachers. Some teachers that genuinely care about the students and try their best to bring good results out of their students are
- Sudhir Sir and Nancy Maam
- A very practical Maths teacher Pankaj Sir
- Very emphatic teacher Rashmi Maam
- Barshma Maam who organizes cultural events.
- Apart from these gems most of the teachers are full of ego and lack sympathy. The teachers do not motivate startups, athletes, or extracurricular activities and merely involve themselves in robotic teaching. There is no structured pedagogy and teachers are very lethargic. The syllabus is outdated and all this affects placements largely.
Students
Obviously under the guidance and training of such an average college, the quality of students stoops low. Most of them are lazy and just mug up concepts. But there are a few who want to strive hard but the lack of necessary resources does not let them excel.
Infrastructure
- The computer labs have very old systems and the speed of the internet is extremely poor.
- The classrooms lack ventilation and there are no microphones for lectures.
- The wifi facilities are extremely poor and students hardly have open access despite paying fees for the same
- The toilets are unhygienic and dirty
- The library has a good collection of books the only drawback being no reminder system for renewal of books
All these points are genuine and not based on any official data.

It is a good option for BCA. It offers decent facilities, environment for studies. Ganpat University BCA fees are also quite affordable. For the 3-year long course, you will need to pay around INR 90,000. However, for BCA, you will need to self-study to do well. You can’t depend on your college solely.
Which is better for BCA: IEM or Heritage Institute of Technology?
Institute of Engineering and Management (IEM) is better than the Heritage Institute of Technology. There are various reasons for saying the same.
- Faculty: They are really very supportive, cooperative, and understanding. They will explain the concepts really well.
- Placements: It is an old institute and has a very good name going for it. Thus placements are obviously better than Heritage Institute of Technology.
- Discipline: This factor may not be to everyone’s liking such as wearing uniforms, going to morning assembly, and attending classes regularly. But this definitely makes you disciplined in your life. This makes this college unique and distinct.
- Location – It is located in Salt Lake Electronics City in Kolkata which is home to companies such as PwC, Cognizant, L&T Infotech, IBM, etc. which makes it easier for getting internships.
There are various activities taking place on the campus and you can be a part of some or another activity. If you join this college, you will enjoy your stay here and walk out with pride and satisfaction.
