Having friends at IEM Kolkata, I can say that this question is similar to the debate between IT and CS.
My friend got PESIT but did not opt for it, instead, he went for IEM. If he had chosen PESIT, he would have to push himself all the time to achieve his goals.
IEM Kolkata and NIT Sikkim are some of the most reputed engineering colleges in India. However, it is difficult to choose between the two as the branches you have mentioned are different. To make a more precise decision, first, decide which branch you want to opt for.
Here is a brief overview of the courses.

If you get a chance to join top institutes, do your research and opt for the very best. You will be the one to spend 4 years learning that particular subject. In this case, both IIIT Nagpur and IEM Kolkata are good colleges.
Having known people studying in both IIIT Nagpur and IEM, I can say that IIIT Nagpur was recently established whereas IEM is quite older and has enough experience as an educational institution.

In terms of college, IEM and HIT both provide similar career opportunities in the IT sector. Major recruiters like TCS, Infosys, CTS, Capgemini from the IT sector visit both the institutes.
If you had to pick between the two engineering fields, you should always go with CS. If you select CS, you will be able to apply for a variety of government/public sector positions (ISRO, BARC, IOCL) after completing your B.tech. Only CS guys are qualified to apply for the majority of these government jobs.

As you will get similar opportunities you can choose either. Also, outside of WB, no one cares if you're from IEM or HIT. Unless you're from JU, everything is the same.
Both UEM Jaipur and IEM Kolkata have good placement records. Students belonging to all the branches and streams get assistance in getting placements in the top companies.
There have been a number of instances where students from both UEM Jaipur and IEM Kolkata have appeared in the placement process together but now the placement takes place in the individual campuses. Companies visit the campuses for offering lucrative packages to their students.
Overall, the placement opportunities offered at UEM Jaipur and Kolkata are quite good.
Between IEM Kolkata and SOE CUSAT, the former is the better choice for CS. I have a few friends at IEM Kolkata so I can give you some information about their CS department.
Cutoff: In West Bengal, IEM is one of the oldest private engineering colleges. Despite being a private institute the opening and closing rank for CS at the institute is quite high. According to the trends in recent years, it is around 1500.
Placement:
Coding Culture:
The campus has a great coding culture. In recent years many students cracked TCS CODE VITA. Also, two teams qualified for ACM ICPC for 2017-18 regional.
Entrepreneurship:
The college organizes various workshops and events regarding entrepreneurship regularly.
Fest:
IEM has two fests, i.e. Tech fest (Innovation) and Cultural Fest (IEMPACT), you will get a lot of exposure through these fests.
Considering all these factors it is safe to say that IEM Kolkata will be a great choice for a CS degree.
Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)
Well there are separate facilities for every subjects , which aate again divided into departments . Faculties are cooperative, friendly and will help you find good amount of opportunities. You can approach them anytime and they would be there to help you out (mind I say mostly , not all ) . Well there are a lot of facilities who are definitely like the best , and their presence doesn't make you feel like they have burdened you . You would be comfortable around them and gheg would be so helpful . Well there are definitely faculties who will treat you like you know nothing and they are the persons with most knowledge, though I won't take the names but there are quite a few of them .
Well I want to be honest here , there are a quite good number of fests going around the campus , but the campus size is definitely very small and the events do not happen big due to this reason . But the efforts of facilities, seniors to still carry on the event in the best way possible is actually appreciable . Talking about the library , it is air conditioned, has working computers for self study is accessible for everyone and 24/7 usable , but the books are very much limited to the course books . The classrooms do have mic , projector and computers , but sometimes they just don't work . Look for sports and extracurricular activities, there is not much space to play on campus , infact there are no grounds . But there are sports events happening quite a lot time , but due to lack of space they become difficult to play . Yeah definately there are clubs run bg the students , but not much active excluding one or two , where you have to get through and get posts through politics and if you are known to seniors .
So basically a bes is provided and some dex is provided. And a almira also provided and a wiordrobe also provided. Meal quality is moderate.During admission you can get hostel if you want. Technopolice is very good area for PG facilities.
