There is no management quota for MBA admission in LPU. To get admission for an MBA at LPU, you need to qualify for the CAT, MAT, XAT, NMAT, or CMAT. An interview is a necessary part of the admission process after passing the LPUNEST exam. To fulfill the eligibility criteria, you must pass a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% overall.

VARC stands for verbal ability and reading comprehension. This is a very common section of the CAT exam. If you are aiming to crack the VARC section specifically for LPU, you can take note of the following points:

• You need to give regular mock tests to know your strengths and weaknesses.
• You need to read newspapers, magazines, and books regularly.
• Be thorough with the current affairs.
• I personally recommend joining online coaching classes for guidance and resources.

DILR stands for Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning. The DILR section is the main section of the CAT exam and is designed to assess applicants’ abilities to solve logic-based questions and comprehend data sets. 

The DILR section is the most the most unexpected and challenging part of the CAT exam. So, candidates need to choose the correct strategy for this section. 

You need to start your preparations by solving questions relating to simple concepts such as ranking, seating arrangements, mathematical reasoning, Venn diagrams, etc. 

I have listed the strategies that I followed to prepare the DILR section:

• Time management
• Understanding the question pattern
• Practicing via mock tests
• Solving previous year question papers

The exact number of seats will depend on the MBA specialization you are looking for. Since you have not mentioned any specialization, I will talk about the general MBA program.

LPU offers MBA in 21 specializations. The total seats for general MBA program at LPU is 480.

If you have qualified for the final interview round for the PhD program and have been selected for the PhD program in the August or January session, you are eligible to be admitted to the PhD program at LPU. 

If you fail to take admission in the August or January session, then your candidature will be canceled.

LPU does not offer direct MBA admission based on graduation scores. MBA admission at LPU is based on LPUNEST or CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, or NMAT scores. If you score the minimum marks in either of these exams, you are selected for GD/PI rounds. 

The LPU MBA eligibility criteria is to have a bachelor’s degree (in any discipline) or equivalent with 55% aggregate marks. 

LPU sends its CSE students for industrial training, generally at top software companies like Infosys, Wipro, HCL, Cognizant, Microsoft, ABB, ISRO, etc. Companies hire for 2-4 month industrial training program on the basis of candidate’s performance in aptitude tests and interviews. These industry projects will help students in the corporate world and help them become competitive and ready for the real world. At the end of the program, students at LPU can get certificates from the company, which will be helpful in their future jobs at top companies.

If your JEE Mains percentile in the January attempt is 72.85 percentile, then you cannot get admission to CS at LPU. Candidates need to gain a minimum 80 percentile to get admission based on JEE Mains. 

I have mentioned the LPU CSE cut-off below:

1. Category I cut-off: The tentative cut-off is 300 marks out of 400.
2. Category II cut-off: The tentative cut-off is 212 marks out of 400.
3. The tentative category III cut-off is 150 marks out of 400.

The Credit Transfer System at LPU means that the credits/subjects studied and passed at LPU will be considered by a foreign university (that is collaborating with LPU) as their own. As a result, the student will get admission into the 3rd year of that particular course in that foreign university straightaway. 

This is a foreign collaboration initiative which allows LPU students to complete 2 years in India and 2 years abroad/ 2 years in India and 1 year abroad/1 year in India and 1 year abroad. Through this collaboration, the students get a foreign university degree and ample exposure while saving a chunk of their tuition fees, which would otherwise be much higher in case they opt to pursue the entire course abroad.

In case there are no slots available for the exam center of your choice, you can fill in an alternate center. If you are failing to get a slot option due to technical difficulties, make sure there are no discrepancies in your registration/application form. In case you find some, refill your form.

If your problem does not resolve even after taking these measures, I would suggest you call the university office. The admission counselors will help solve your problem. In any case, the university will call you in a day or two and guide you through the formalities. They might even give you a slot on their own. The information of the same will be given on your dashboard.
